275/30/20 vs 285/30/20 vs 295/25/20 tires
How do these tires compare? Anyone have pictures, and or using any of the wheels... 285/30 might rub? 275/30 looks tempting...
I've pretty much come to the conclusion I'll be running 245/30-20 and 275/30-20 when I order my next set.

I have 275/35-19s, and they ride and handle well, for such a heavy car, but with a even lower profile, I would risk bending a wheel, on potholes or whatever.
I wouldn't even run a 30 series out front. But that's just me. Who wants to be buying replacement wheels all the time. Just my opinion.
275/35 would look bad. 275/30 may still look decent...
Game 4 boy! Last game was... Lol

My 275/35-20 looks just fine, but I'm a fan of the beefy look in the back (it's not even THAT beefy)
Here's a pic of my car with 275/30-20:

Here's pics of a guy on this forum that is running 275/30-20's in back:

Anyway, I don't think it looks as bad as people claim. My 275/35-20 was fine so I assume 275/30-20 will be even better. I'm going to do Hankook tires as they seem to have a narrower tread pattern and rounded sidewalls. I think the Nitto Invos are the same way.
It really depends on what your wheel width and offset allows. You may even be able to with 285/30-20 but you'd need to be careful with clearances.

Along with the sizes, I’d be asking what the brand and style of tyre other members are using.
I know it’s not an E Class but the photos give a good indication of how 285/25 Yokohama Advan Sports fits a 20x10 rim.

I had 285/25s but just ran into problems, hence was considering a bigger sidewall. You fit 285s on the C63!? wow, I guess its all in the offset, my sisters c350 rubs like a **** with 265s stretched on a 20x10 lol
If you wish to avoid a low profile, a 245/35 in front may be a better option. At least that’s my opinion.
Thanks mate for the compliment.
You’re right the offsets are a critical start to good fitment and if you’re pushing the boundaries, so is tyre choice.
Like I said, over the years I’ve noticed a lot of differences between manufacturers for tyres with supposedly the same specifications. Some are wider than others. Now when choosing I take the advice and experience of my seller and if the fit is not quite right, they changed them to something else.
