HELP! P202B-002 Idle Speed Control Implausible

hi

Any ideas???

P202B-002 Idle Speed Control Implausible
- Short circuit to ground or open circuit

i has replaced the boost pressure sensor and has checked for any air leaks it all seem fine.
Engine idles funny (up and down) sometimes. Sometimes it's fine.
Sometimes it feels like it's going to stall. When i switch the car off and back on it seems fine then then the problem comes again !

Thanks Acid

yes to fit the 74mm the sc, has to come off becuase the snout is different. did this just start after the 80mm install?

Hey

I was racing a r8 v10. Last night first run from standstill I gapped him 2.5 cars and then on the second racing I was in front and then bang ! My crank pulley broke off at 120mph lost all power and so much smoke like a ash cloud!
My pulley went under the car hit the sump and cracked it all oil everywhere ! The crack pulley then hit the r8 and and was stuck under his car lucky There was no damage on the r8 someone could have been killed !

The reason the pulley broke is because my crank had a bad wobble and it was expected, so no one is to blame but me! Lol

It was a 180mm pulley asp.

So I guess I need to rebuild my engine now and the tb is the last of my problems.

Really sorry to hear this,

must have been a big shock at the time ............ your dash should have lit up like a christmas tree when this happened. If you did not run the car for long dry of oil, it should be ok to just replace the sump ?????????? right?

I really dont want to change my pulley, bad exsperiences time and time agian.

Good luck man

Damn sorry to hear about your mishap. Isn't this your second time the pulley fell off?
Was it torqued correctly?

hey

The Pulley was put onwith the right Torque setting ,but the Crank has always had a wobble, so i cannot blame the Pulley to break off under so much pressure.
My Engine is fine and runs, i have a spare sump, but i Need to change my crank!!
i am thinking of putting Forged Pistons ! and to rebuilt the bottom end!

Sorry to bump this from over a month ago, but you just saved my ***! Thanks soooooo much.

Spent hours chasing wiring and vacuum diagrams, finally gave up and decided the throttle had to be bad. Then I read your post... Checked the rubber evap hose at the left rear cylinder head. It was on there, but loose on the connectors. Threw some zip ties at each junction, problem solved.

Well done.

Mercedes only mentions an air leak one time with that fault code. You check the value it specifies, everything looks good, you "don't have an air leak."

Guess what... There is a leak, just a very small one. If they had made that hose out of one piece of tubing it would be fine, instead it's like 4 pieces with little plastic connectors in between.

Yep been there and done that. Now if I could just get my catch can installed I'd be even happier Also don't forget the thin aluminum tube that goes in to the blower and that get's bumped out when you take the fuel rail off and you don't realize it's off until you try start the car and the same issue with erratic idel etc.

you have a dipstick in the car?? Shouldnt it just be the cap in place at the end of the dipstick tube?

Took my Kompressor out to mod the 82 mm TB (M273 one) in. Put everything back together, flashed my EC flashware, deleted all errors from the battery disconnect, initialized the TB with my SD and have the same error now.

My idle speed is through the roof at 1800-2200 rpm. Car is undrivable. Trying to brake and the car wants to keep going.

I used brake cleaner to see if I can find a vac leak. So far nothing. Took the driver side surge tank off again, took the grommet out of the snout and it feels like it's not really super tight. I placed a zip tie around the hose that pushes onto the aluminum pipe that goes into the snout because that thing slips on and off with little to no resistance. Put the surge tank back on and still nothing.

Came across this post and it seems like I did everything you guys suggested and tried. The TB opens and closes when I press the gas pedal.

I am praying you see this and can maybe shed some light since this is years late..but I had 92mm vrp kit installed and now the car wants to throttle itself and take off when I shift it into Reveres or Drive..shop I have it at has no clue and I’m about to get it back and possibly take it apart again but really am hoping I don’t have to do that..did you ever find what caused it???

Sounds like you forgot to install the metal tube in the rear of the supercharger.

so the 92mm Tb kit from vrp doesn’t have the same hole on the billet snout with it I don’t believe..I didn’t do the install myself just gave a hand but I’m pretty sure it was rerouted to the top of the snout but it’s a rubber tubing also correct?..this metal tube is this the one that runs up to the front of the car by the driver side headlight and is plugged in to one side of what looks like a sensor and then on the other side is like a sponge looking thing?

sorry man I’m learning as I go and trying to do as much on my own as I can lol so any help is appreciated
