Wheel Opinion -- Dark Gunmetal CLS Wheels on Brilliant Silver E55
Guys -
I'm about to buy some CLS wheels and they have a dark gunmetal option. THoughts on how this will look on a Brilliant Silver E55 ?
I'm thinking it would work well with my Carbon fiber Eurotek diffuser
Here is a silver E55 with CLS wheels if anyone is a photoshop wizard
Also included a pic of the wheel color
Lastly with ET35 offset and slammed ride. I have seen differing opinions on tire size -- will 255/35/19 and 285/30/19 work ?

I believe the Gunmetal would look really good to bring out the carbon fiber and would brightin out the silver paint too!!!
A far as wheel option I would go with 245!
Lowering It just dependes where you drive the most it its hard to get up into places to dont wanna be draging or tearing off lips.
Good luck on color choice. Might i mention to do the calipers when you have the wheels off.
Eric.

IMO the CLS wheels look really boring. I realize I'm the only dissenting opinion, but I think those wheels in that color wouldn't look good on that color of car. The C63 AMG wheels with their silver & gunmetal combo, however, would.

I have that exact wheel from oewheels.com in matte black 18's. I run a 285/30/18 with zero rub. My tires are tucked to. My fronts ate skinnys 225/35/18 for that slammed look.

Nice! I was going to check the rolling diameters tonight. At a minimum i will go 235's.
I really like the matte black but figured gunmetal was something different. Was also tempted to go 20's. WOuld love to see an e55 with 20" reps.

i ran 285/30/19 hankook v12's. tire tucked in the back. 295's would have not fit. and for the fronts, still had 235's and there was more than enough room left in the wheel wells. 255's will be fine,
