There is plenty of room to do so and I believe it's the ticket to having 9 second E55's. I guess doing 10's is plenty for 99.99999% of all people but not one person has cared to go further ( with the exception on the EV12 )?

Great idea...someone should donate their car to UGR and tell them to work their magic...
They did it on a GT40 so it shouldn't be too hard for them to do it on ours right?
Although I'm pretty sure that they won't do it because there won't be too much of a market for the kit.

So is 600whp the limit for the 55k with boost only from the supercharger? I would have thought a 5.4 ltr V8 could be tuned to more considering its size and the fact that there have been 700+hp SLRs.

I think no a days the ecu tune could be easily done by Eurocharged and while VRUS said he'd use two GT25R's ( which are way too small ) I think two GT30R's would make for quick spool and HUGE power.
No parasitic loss from the SC + more efficient compressors = more power at the same boost levels and without fueling modifications. I'm sure 600+whp would be possible even on the stock fueling system.

ya its definately possible, and I almost did it just ran outta time etc. I would have done Gt30s as well. You would have to go with the TTM fuel kit, and the tuning is not fun but possible.
Our crossfire that we swapped the sc for and did a turbo setup is crazy strong.

It's not like I've had this car for a long time, but is there even room in the bay for that type of packaging? That and the fact you'd have to basically engineer your own manifolds and start re-routing piping all over the place

I come from an Infiniti G35. The engine bay space in the G35/350Z is nearly non existent and they have plenty of turbo kits. The engine bay space in the E55 is actually very abundant for having such a large engine. I found it quite easy to swap my headers on. A turbo kit would fit with ease. I just wish I had the money at this moment to do so, I'd do it in a heart beat.

I know of someone that's getting ready to do GT35's rear mount on a 55K car that's already worked over and running meth. Not sure how much the owner want's out there, so until it becomes public, I can't say too much. I don't know much about it anyway, just that it's close to happening.

What are your thoughts on particulars (internal/external WG, A2W vs. AA, stock / custom intake / TB, injectors / FP) for the E55? I'm curious to see how you guys would approach it on this motor as compared to a 4-banger or pushrod V8

This was gonna be my Piece de resistance mod until the great recession/mini depression. Trunk mount turb (SMALL) plumbed up to plug right into the TB inlet.
With the EC massive injectors, it seemed so perfect. Sigh...looks like its up to some other baller to make happen.
Godspeed to whoever goes for it.

you also save on the S/C parasitic losses ... app on an SLR its over 80hp at max power.... prob even more for some of us with bigger pulleys...

Alright I might as well say it..LOL
We are also doing a TT set up on a 55 motor, but its not in an E55 chasis. It will be in a 500E. My tech bought the donor car and will commence the project pretty soon. Once it's been put together I will start a thread with pictures. It is not impossible (where have I heard that before..), If him and Marcin & Supy got the EV12 to run I sure as heck believe it!!! .

Hehe, if anyone it's you and the Texas crew. I have a NA intake manifold if you want .
I would
Ditch the SC
NA intake manifold
Twin GT3076 with internal WG (just for simplicity)
Front mount IC
meth/water injection as safety
And pray the drivetrain will hold the power.

Having been through projects on my mr2 as well as the Ford 5-liter, have always had plenty of room in the engine bay for those type of upgrades -- so that's the first thing I noticed.

If you want to save about $800-$1000 you can go with twin T3/T4's 50 trim or 57 trims and their maps are also perfect for this setup and are FAR cheaper per turbo....they'll just have slightly more lag.

I know someone did the Turbo kit with W210 E55. So why not just buy a W210 which is really cheap for the project. The W210 engine bay looks pretty spacious to me...
