Porsche Macan S SportDesign / Ex M-B's: 11 & 10 & 06 E350's, 02 S500
To the people commenting about how this engine design won't become a heat generating problem, BMW has not been known lately to make very reliable products, and it seems like every time they do something innovative or chancy, there are major bugs. I'd say that if one is looking into getting into an M5 for the long haul, it may post a problem down the line.

Shame because I was seriously considering the sedan before I came to my senses and bought a CPO E63 with a longer warranty for less money and low miles....
Looks are subjective...but the CTS-V, for the moment, has the most powerful engine in stock form and the easiest to get power out of. We'll have to see how these new turbo engines from bmw/mb stack up.

Yasin
They goes down around the transmissions bellhousing and when they get to the bottom then turn to the rear of the car.

The turbos are easy to reach at least. Not a lot of room for bigger ones though. I demand a diagram as to how the air flows through this thing. I can't even begin to understand what's going on under that hood. WTF are those two boxes up front?

Build quality is not though. I can love or hate the looks, but it still feels "cheap".

The two boxes are the intercoolers. The airflow is literally the opposite of how it flows on a regular twin turbo V8. It's not that complicated once you look at the picture I posted up of the engine. It's just backwards.

I've been in three CTS-Vs ( one of them a coupe ) and the build quality looks better than my W211's does and on par with the W212's I've been in. The E63 does have a more luxurious looking and feeling interior. The CTS-V is more sporty inside and out. It IS after all a MUCH cheaper car...with the $20K+ you save by buying the CTS-V you can put back in making a full custom interior in Suede if you want and put down 700whp while your at it...lol.

It does...I can find a lot of faults in my W211's build quality. It even has skipped stitching in some areas...lol...and the gaps where the cd changer lies are huge.

Don't get me wrong, I love my interior...but I'm honestly impressed with the CTS-V's ( the new one, the old one was crap ). Heck, even Car and Driver said the CTS-V's interior had smaller gaps than the W212 E63's interior and they received unanimous praise over the interior. It was also $35K cheaper than the E63 they tested...lol.

I don't think the CTS's interior is even in the same realm as the W212's when it comes to interior quality and workmanship, but to each their own I guess. I'd put it closer to the pre-facelift W204 C-Class, which also has superior build quality, although a more crude look and touch.

GMC - Miata - Trek - P-Car
Eyeballed a Yank version being subjected to ‘suburban testing’ along Vista del Mar and through Manhattan Beach today.

Sounded pretty healthy.
