Carbon Fiber Wheels
So there is one option.

They look really good on the W211, the offset is perfect, it gives the car this "muscular" look. I respect people's decision to put on the Forgestar F14s but I just don't see me liking them. Plus I don't see why there shouldn't be full carbon fiber wheels, even if the spoke are twice the thickness which would make it 10 times the strength they wheel would still be lighter. Now I know there are different type of strengths, like tensile etc but still, people underestimate carbon fiber people they perceive it as a "plastic".
Really depends on each vehicles application. Carbon has its strengths and weaknesses like you stated.
Also the Forgestar wheels are not forged wheels. They are flow formed.
Here's good reading on wheel types.

Thanks for posting those pics of some BS that we have built. We have done a lot of HRE on CLK63 Black Series.
Here is a pic of the mesh Lon is referring to:

FYI - these wheels are for sale with low miles if anyone wants a set of HRE/Dymags.
Thanks
Brad
A super light carbon fiber wheel from HRE would be AWESOME!!!! I'd love to get one for my W211.... I prefer 18" though (not fan of big rims).
. Be sure to make the mesh style with offset like the Seneka, in fact make the Seneka design EXACTLY like how it is in the picture but with a carbon barrel and magnalium spokes, or whatever it is you guys do just do it
. Remember, the exact design in the pic, it goes with the W211 like no other and those yellow calipers *drool*. I need to start customizing the car lol, MAKE THOSE WHEELS HAHA!!!
