Those who have res/cat delete mods, whats the fuel mpg increase?

assume now that your exhaust is more freer flowing, under normal driving conditions and keeping your foot off the pedal, you should be seeing some sort of gas mileage increase. anyone have comments on this?

i get about 19mpg on daily driving, 23mpg on freeway, so not bad at all.

my plan is to remove the resonator and secondary cats and add straight pipe. NO x-pipe mod.

any thoughts, discussion?

thanks!
Aj

I did the same thing as you are going to do.

Removed secondary and resonator, places straight 3" pipe on both sides, no x or crossing or touching.

It may or may not gain you mpg, but in my own study after doing it, i notice i get less gas mileage just because i want to floor it more often to hear that nuke go off!

Ya'll must coast everywhere. I get 11 in city and like 18 on the highway, but granted that's at like 72mph and it's 104 out today according to my dash.

are you guys getting poor mileage bc you're on the gas too much? or is it b/c the "freer flowing" exhaust is somehow causing poor mileage?

take a tank or two just easy driving, you'd be surprised how well these cars run on one tank?

Air up your tires, take weight off and lower the car, if you want better MPG . Mods never seem to increase MPG, just and FYI.
