do you think an 11in wide wheel will fit a 315 tire?
Has anyone tried to run a Mickey Thompson 315/30/18 on either a 10.5 or 11 in wide wheel on an e55?
I only ask because my friend has them on his supra and they don't look that wide.im wondering with the right offset if they will fit.
They are only 25.5 in tall so they might clear our cars

if you plan to use it for the track it may work but tires will stick out past the fenders. Just make sure the car is raised more than stock because during the 1/4 the airmatic will lower itself due the the speed.
on the offset try the stock offset first to see how much room you have to play with on the inside

Im going to ask him to take his wheel off and try it out.if we have a half in on the inside to play with I think I can get them to fit.
The mickeys has so much more grip that the bfgs

I just saw a black series yesterday,no way ill get that wheel to fit because that car has huge fender flares.
Ill try to find a 18x10.5 wheel.does the smaller the number offset bring the wheel in closer? So say a 30mm will be 5mm closer to the brakes

if the factory wheel is say and 8.5" wheel and your looking for a say 10.5 " wheel you will need to move the center of the wheel 2" inboard to keep the same et. going to a larger et say a 45 may interfer with suspension componets. try the wheel calculater on tire rack to get in the ballpark. dont forget you also have to clear the calipers which push the spokes outboard

How does that calculator tell me if im going to clear the massive brakes and if its going to hit the inside of the wheel well? I have custom offsets now so I don't even know what's on my car now.
275/35/18 with the car slammed almost rub just having the car parked.I think I should just call a wheel shop and see what they have tried.
Like you can have 2 same spec wheels with say a 38mm offset and one if them not fitting because it has thicker spokes and they wont clear the brakes.
11 in wide is probably a no go so maybe a 10 in will be okay to stretch a 315 Mickey on it

whether it clears the brakes will depend on the wheel itself. the calculator is just to give you a reference of the distance you have to deal with vs a oem setup. which way the difference goes (towrds the center of the car or not) will depend on the build of the wheel and the offsets. as an example i had 17x8.5 et 34 as oem on my 32. i went 18x9 et 30 and moved the wheel outward almost 1/2 " . adding a 265/35-18 from a 245/40-17 also changed the distance to the fenderwell. the wheel now sits flush with the fender but doesnt rub. before the wheel was inside the fender completely
i dont have a definate answer for you merely some suggestions that may help you without spending big bucks for something that wont fit

Im an idiot as eric at supreme wheels was pushing me to get a 10in wide wheel instead of the 9.5 that I went with.
I just talked to my friend with the supra and he is running the 315s on a 10in wheel.if I can find a wheel that will clear our brakes and sidewall we will have the ultimate drag setup for our cars.
His supra has sooo much grip with the 315s that it makes my bfgs feel like street tires.here is his car and I spent about 10 minutes checking his wheels out thinking to myself that I think I can get these to fit lol
And the rolling diameter will be 25.5 with the 315 mickeys so it will be STOCK rolling with no issues with traction control
