OBD II software??

I've done some searching around and while there are plenty of STAR postings and DIY, I didn't clearly see what aftermarket manufacture makes software to scan codes and possibly even do resets, etc?

I just saw this Google Ad at the top of the forum, any one try it? http://www.ot-2.com/

In my past life I did a lot with a VAG-COM cable and some Ross-Tech. Anything similar?

OT-2 has been discussed quite a bit here, as has the Kiwi interface with the Rev App... DashCommand is another app...

What other options are there? I'm most interested in running codes and perhaps making standard adjustments.

do you have a driod cell? I use dash command and torque with my cell for data logging and checking codes.

All you need is a 30 dollar elm wifi plug

I have an iPhone... and use Mac's at home and for work, so I'd need some software compatible with either...or have to buy a pc just to run it (which I'd prefer not to do).

Oh, it's all good. I didn't take any offense. Sorry if I made it seem that way.

BTW, I'm hi-jacking my own thread here, but I saw your profile and IT Services...all the Systems guys at my company switched to mac's...heck almost our entire IT department migrated over. Though I will agree for some it's more a fashion statement than a functional purpose.

Ha! I can't wait to pass that along to Systems/NetOps guys. Ha Ha. Though most of them would berate me for even owning a car like this. I need to ride a single geared bike to be "in"...plus own a mac.

We deal with a lot of media, so I think many liked the software better...to be honest I'm not even sure anymore.

So I have a CAN USB cable from my Audi days...that would mean something like the following would work:
http://www.autotap.com/?s=CJ
or
http://www.auterraweb.com/dyforwiusb.html

OR do I have to get the entire scanner?
http://www.actron.com/product_detail.php?pid=16317

...and I see most are PC, but I can just run parallels to get around that.
