By chance any wagons out there that have added an extra or additional tank to help the HE, in the spare tire area? If so, can you chime in on the shape of your tank and how you set it up. Or, am I going to be the first?

send me pictures of where you want you tank

My problem is that the space is height restricted due to my optional 3rd row. I think I have an idea, but need to mock something up using card-board paper this weekend. Been trying to post pics from my Iphone, but keep having problems.Originally Posted by shardul

OMG, I finally found a way to upload the pics. You think me being Asian I would instinctively know this internet, upload, tech stuff......ok, where was I.
Here are the pics of my spare tire area that I intend to put the reservior.

Here is the pic of the 3rd row seat that I have to work around for the reservior.
Here is the pic of the "mock up" reservior that I made, using box cut-outs.
Here are the pics of the mock up as it looks when it is under the 3rd row set and when its all covered up.

ExploreHere are the dimensions of the reservior tank.
I guess no other wagons have put an aux tank in the spare tire area?
I contacted Donny at Dads customer intercooler. He has the dimensions of my mock up and will now build it. I will post pics once I get it.

Thanks for blazing the trail for the rest of the wagon owners who look forward to modding in the future

You're welcome. I appreciate the compliment. I also think I have an idea to re-use the stock intercooler. In the wagon, underneath the rear bumper, there is space between the rear bumper and the end of the spare tire space. The stock intercooler fits in there, with room to potentially fit a puller fan. I have this crazy idea of putting the stock intercooler, with the puller fans in that space and route the water lines from the reservoir to that stock intercooler and then to the front of the car...will do some more retro-fitting while I wait for Donny to make m resorvoir.Originally Posted by FASN8N

Spoke with Donny at Dads Intercooler and my tank is on its way to me. Here are some pics.

Also, I am hoping my idea works on how we can go about using "dry ice" in the tank and venting out the gas from the dry ice when it melts... a friend of mine in the plumbing / mechancial engineering field gave me the idea. I will try it out before I talk about it on the forum.

I love seeing that kind of fabrication! And the welding.....fantastic. Good luck with the install and thanks for sharing!
