For Those of You Who Had Your Roof Wrapped..

What was the process for wrapping the strip that goes from the back of the roof to the end end of the windshield? Was it wrapped in one long piece or in one or two pieces?

I'm going to try to get my roof wrapped this week and wanted to know what everyone else did for the two strips so I know ahead of time and can request that it be done a certain way. Thanks

My car is silver and when I had my roof wrapped in black, I had the 2 pieces you mentioned left silver.

Same as Benzboi.. I would leave the two strips alone.. Its a great mod though, really sets off the car.

^^ the reg pano look has both these strips black however? Does it look odd to you guys at all to have the strips body colored?

edmond, why did you paint the strips instead of wrapping them? I was actually considering painting the roof and strips instead of vinyl but wasnt sure which one to do yet

I had my roof wrapped on the E55 but they can not do the strips. I had the CLS painted. It really defeats the purpose to have the roof wraped and then the strips painted. You might as well just paint the roof. The whole point of the wrap is it is easily reversible. Wrapping the roof and painting the strips is sort of

If you wrap them separately (means not wrapped in once piece together with the roof) then it should be fine, but if the strips are wrapped together with the roof and in any case you need to have the windscreen changed, there is chance for the vinyl to be pull out.

Had mine wrapped in two pieces. If you are going to the "Pano Look" you should wrap those side pieces as they are black on a pano car

How did they do the strips? Don't they have a rubber weather stripping on the sides?

Haters crazy
My roofs wrapped, including the strips... cant be done, just time consuming. Flawless work, just not happy with the result... probably have it painted sometime this year
