Anybody have a custom dyno tune? Who did you use? Jerry (EC), Jeremy (OE) etc.?

I am in the process of gathering mods from various companies, so it will not be a package kit or a off-the-shelf tune, I would rather be safe and go with a custom tune and know that the the A/F etc. are all running sound and within acceptable levels than attempt on off shelf product.

For those with custom dyno tunes, what tuner did you use and how has your experience been thus far? I am more interested in the safe tuners that keep the vitals within the safe range and do not push too much. I want to have a safe ride and feel confident when pushing her.

At a minimum, I plan to have headers, tb and a dyno tune. I haven't decided if I want to go with a pulley/boost upgrade yet or maintain stock boost (likely the better idea).

PS Please do not turn this into a war. I am merely asking for experiences people have had with the big name dyno tuners and how long they've been on the tune, how the car has ran, and if they have run into any problems.

I didn't come up with much during a search, hopefully this should help.

Thanks in advance..

Didnt you ask this not to long ago?

you want a safe tune? go renntech or kleemann.

renntech is covered under your factory warranty and you can get the flash at most mod friendly dealers

Regardless of which tuner you go with, make sure the TTM fuel rail is on your list of 1st round mods. You don't want to pop that #8 cylinder, then blame the tuner, now do you?

You can get a "safe" tune from anywhere. Simply tell the tuner you want a conservative tune that isn't running leaner air/fuels but stays in the 11s all the time instead of running in the 12s and doesn't run as much ignition timing. Quite simple actually.

If you are looking to improve you airlfow alone any tune would be good, once you start playing with higher boost and so on you will need to worry about your car blowing up

I have a Jerry Dyno tune. Very conservative on the the AF ( high 10's). Made 530whp on a Mustang dyno.

I want to do headers and dyno tune only (H/E and IC pump installed). I do not plan to increase boost via larger pulley.

How long have you had your tune? I just want to be sure it is conservative ... I am not shooting to hit 10s.

Even if I am doing headers only (EC LTs)? Is the fuel rail necessary? I do not plan to add any more mods. Just headers and dyno tune.

Jeremy did my tune back in January and it has been solid. He also took in to consideration the high heat here in the Phoenix desert and I've had no issues. The car runs strong.
