Damn dude, I didn't mean to offend you. I was just showing you that this was not the first wide body on an E class. Don't take it to the heart. Honestly I like this one. It is alot smoother and it would be nice to be able to put a 12 in the rear. BTW I f***ing hate RICE!

performance consequences? lol like what going from 11.5 sec 1/4 to 11.50001 sec
its not like these cars are trapping at 180mph where miniscule drag coefficient differences come into play.
i think having a black series looking AMG well outweighs the .000001 sec diff i might loss in the 1/4 lol
or i could just lose 100lbs on the car and take of 1/10th sec in the 1/4![Big Grin](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
in the end these cars are way more about style/luxury than alll out performance anyways... they are a stylish luxurious 4 door sedan that is quick for a 4 door, but not a dragster where u should worry about not putting a subwoofer in the trunk cuz it will add 40lbs and take .04 sec off the 1/4

Two 957 Cayenne GTS's (black and silver), Duc749 (dark), departed '03 E55
I'm cautiously optimistic with this. I think the front looks great, but I'm in a wait and see mode with how the rear flairs blend with the rear bumper. I wonder if they shouldn't have pulled the bumper out wider and smoothed the transition. I mean in some of these side shot pictures it looks like the rear just fades away behind the rear tire.
I like where it's going though...

This is a project, not a kit, maybe it'll become one but now it's just a custom prototype. It does look amazing though, really brings out the W211's muscles. With this kit the LOOKS of the E63/E55 KILL the E60 M5, that's the only thing I used to hate about this car is the lack of flared fenders and beefy looks. I just hope there are no performance drawbacks.

Of course there will be SOME performance drawbacks.. All the extra weight from the extra metal, to the weight from running wider wheels and tires..

Thanks for the comments
Thank everyone for their comments and recommendations. This build is a project of one of the owners of Rollin’Art. It is another extension of his passion within the aftermarket industry. Like any change that is a deviation against the status quo, there will many negative comments on his choice of development on the wide body. He really did not start the build in the hopes of mass producing the kit, but it seems the build has created some notoriety overseas. We are now in the talks with a prominent German manufacture to create a version for consumers. We hope to solidify all the nuances of the arrangement by SEMA.

Maybe it's the angle or lighting, but the rear wheel opening looks substantially smaller than the front. Aesthetically it seems crowded and awkward....
I'll reserve final judgement for when it's in final paint with all trim reinstalled.

The BMW 335i is ours too

Ignore the RS4 build (it's awesome but not my topic), go down the page and have a look at that widebody E55 build. When I saw it I was all WTF
While it looks awesome from the back I think it makes the car a bit vulgar, almost ricey. I mean it is a four door sedan, at the end of the day it has a certain class to it. The widebody look suits the CLK because it's a coupe but what do you guys think? Plus doesn't it increase drag, I mean the W211 is known for having a fairly good coefficient of drag.
