Just wanted to give you what we are about, but we will become official site sponsors when we can cater to the MB customer…..first product will be the e55 Rollin’Art wide body program

…..should we start a pre-Group Buy….Ha
i am all for a group buy once i see this bad boy painted as i am sure its gonna look sick!

the e55s look much less aggressive than they actually are and this kit would solve that problem finally the E55 would looks as evil as it really is

Umm was that you hanging over my shoulder as I was typing my post Gotta love how words can be so misunderstood. I don't need to tell you about "assuming" do I? Does it have DOT tires, full interior, AC, power seats, etc? Yes? Then it's a street car—no need to over complicate this.

You're placing way to much emphasis on aerodynamics when in reality it takes power and a lot of it especially for a "street" car as heavy as the E. That's why shoebox Chevy's (with big power) with the aerodynamics of a brick can run single digits and drive on the street.

Don't get me wrong I think this kit is worth the "disadvantages" and they may be very little like you say, I was merely trying to point out the fact that it would increase drag So it could even be completely harmless to the performance, I was just pointing out that it was there. Plus I don't only mean 1/4 mile runs, I ment it as in fuel economy as well. At the end of the day though this build is epic, it really complete's the W211 look and now the E60 M5 or even the W212 E63 don't stand a chance based on looks. The reason I was negative about widebody W211 because I've seen horse turd jobs of it, look at the pic at the bottom of the comment. However the Rollin'Arts build is just

WOW, thanks for the praise....I loaded more images to our "Rollin'ART 2011 SEMA Builds" to show the wheels and the sheet metal work involved

Update

The aftermarket rear bumper finally arrived on 2SEP2011, and work is commencing on prepping the car for paint. We are trying to get the build completed, but we have our current customers and SEMA booth projects that must be worked on first

As much as I respect Mr. Enzo's opinion and status aerodynamics are very important. You'll be undermining the greatness of that great motor by making a car a brick. I mean it's like making a car use more fuel than necessary just to say you're a badass. If we take Mr. Enzo's words and put them into practice then F1 is stupid because it relies on aero to produce the massive down-force it has.

We have been concentrating on our other SEMA builds the last two weeks....we were asked to do another build 7 weeks before the event. Good News on the e55 is that we flared out the aftermarket rear bumper and incorporated the flare into the side skirts as well. I will post pics when the owner is comfortable with the current work on the vehicle

Thanks for the update really hope you guys make this into a kit because believe me this will sell. If you do make it into a kit maybe you could make a dry CF version, yes it will be expensive but it'll help shave off those lbs. Can't wait to see the beast painted, you guys have done an EPIC job with this widebody, it doesn't look vulgar and tacky but it looks aggressive at the same time. After looking at the photos a few times I agree with the other members, what ever drag this creates can be cured by more power and the looks it provides outweigh the possibly exaggerated (by me) disadvantages

That widebody probably started to crack after one day of driving around.

It's better suited for show being made out of fiberglass grafted onto steel panels that is for sure. It can live without cracking for some length of time if it's not out baking in the sun everyday, and longer depending on the type of resin used and how saturated the reinforcement is. Either way it looks very nice aesthetically!

I think it looks awesome, the front fender widebody is PERFECT but what I would do to the back is make it start a little higher and have the same amount but starting higher so it flows into the body better and doesn't look like a massive bulge when view from sidish front. It would probably go into the doors and fuel cap though. The rear bumper looks alright but I might have not gone with the addition into the rear bumper, yes they did it to flow more with the widebody but I think it should have been less. Nonetheless by FAR the best widebody on a W211 I've seen. Still looks elegant and classy and not tacky like other attempts *cough* WALD kit *cough*

...on second thought I retract what I said about the rear widebody starting higher, it's perfect how it is I saw the other widebody thread and that one started higher and it looked DISGUSTING. This one is good. I really want them to make this and sell it.
