Widebody E63/E55
The rear looks all wrong to me. It seems so obvious that the flare was built that way because they were scared to allow the flare to encroach into the rear door areas and deal with all the extra work. They basically built the largest flare that would fit in the rear quarter panel even though the proportions make it look way too small.
I'm not a particularly accomplished metalworker but the early photos of the rear fenders show that whoever has been doing this work is hiding their lack of skill with buckets and buckets of body filler. The front flare shows inconsistencies as well, and the overly-large radius transitioning from the flare to the orginal fender gives it a really cheap "this is all bondo" look.
IMHO.... the front wheel/tire combo is simply too "big" looking. If that were scaled-down (and the front flare re-worked) the rear would probably not be so objectionable.

Just wait until I do a wide body on the rear of my CL and am able to run 315s
Does this type of metalwork impress you....or anyone?

It looks like someone took a bunch of balled-up tin foil and made a flare out of it..... there is no reason why such a simple curved shape would require all of that random hammering. I do better hammer & dolly work than that and I'm just a beginner.
Interestingly, the rocker extension piece looks pretty well-executed. I can't believe it was the same fabricator....and it probably wasn't.

Anyway, if the flares are going to be fiberglass I hate it even more. Fiberglass NEVER looks the same as steel when it's painted, and that is to say that it is always wavy and never shows the same "depth" in the paint as steel does.
.....and I couldn't disagree more about your comment that paint will make all the difference. If the bodywork looks bad NOW, a deep coat of glossy paint isn't going to hide it. It's going to accentuate every poorly executed thing on that car. There's a reason why guys spend hundreds of hours blocking out the primer on a car before the color goes on. Glossy paint is merciless and will show EVERY flaw in the prep work or fabrication steps.
Maybe the final product will prove me wrong, but at this point I seriously doubt it.
