Hello to all.
I've been lurking and posting on here for a few months. I just bought a stock 2003 E55 w/ 57k miles in great condition (warranty included) with no options (pano, nav, keyless go, etc.). I love it.
I like the look of stock cars but may modify it some over time. I am new to MB ownership and have only owned performance domestic cars in the past.
I know there is a lot of good information on here and also a lot of smart a$$es that give their biased opinion but I'm looking forward to it NTL. I have included a pic of my new car below; did these come with different wheel options or are these wheels from a different model?

Great Color and a great Ride COngrats and welcome to the 55K world

I think that you might have the first generation of E55 wheels, as the other wheel came out later. But you have many options now

Those are not W210 E55 wheels but rather came on the later R129 SL models. Enjoy the car and welcome. Where in TX are you?
Thanks for the education

Your rims are the factory E55 Rims, there were two different rims i think you could choose in the 2003 model but in 04 onwards they stuck to the one type.

Congrats! Wish I was around so many AMG heads. Enjoy the Beast.

Appearance mods:
-flat hood badge (ordered)
-Not sure on the black grille but I may want to black the side and rear badges.
-replace or trade wheels for something sleek but not too ghetto
Performance mods:
- I'm looking for twin K&N air filters
- Possbile resonator/rear cat delete
- Possible 168/172pulley + tune in the future
I'm not sure on the custom air box or expensive headers. Thoughts and comments are always welcome. I have searched the other threads and done a lot of reading on these but I'm by no means an expert.

You might want to throw a few cooling mods in your list to! It is a must out here in Houston!Originally Posted by tcoleman

It does seem that the 55s outnumber the 63s in Houston.Originally Posted by dannish23
