Hey I'm finishing up the body work on my E63 bumper conversion for my E55...and wanted some push in the right direction, I like the shaved look on bumpers cause it makes it look smoother and sleak...but then again if i do shave the side markers on the bumper should I hook up the LED strips to the side marker plug or the foglight plugs...otherwise im leaving it as is...already shaved the oem holes for the parktronics and just waiting to finish up...after this is done ill prep and paint and then start maing the grill vents for the LED strips.... ;-)

Gents, I guess I am ignorant on what the term "shave" means. Would you guys link some pics of shaved vs stock?

He is referring to removal of side marker lights and other holes, filling them in and painting for a nice clean look!

OK so shaving it...thanks for the responses...will post pics and maybe do a DIY with pics...it no rocket science aslong as you now how to do it ;-)...now here is the magic question to all of you Benz fanatics...Wide body?? I did my S4 back before I bought my E55 stretching it 3" in the front and 3.5 in the rear of an S4...thinking maybe 2.5 rear and front...let me get some input from you guys...

 

Here are some pics of the work just finished sanding it down and priming it tomorrow, will have paint by maybe tomorrow night...or the next day...

I filled up the sensor holes and smoothed them out, then i primed the bumper but I decided to seal and shave the side marker holes...will be done soon...Just finished doing the OEM grill in Matte black...will post pics tomorrow
