AMG 80mm part number for everyone :)
well here it is folks for the first time ever,a true AMG 80mm part number that has never been posted other than me trying to figure out what the heck tb it was.
GTR also posted about it once because he found one the same time I picked this one up.
its 79mm and I bored it out a little bit and made it fit air tight in my renntech air box with ease.
for everyone having codes from audi and gt3 tb its becasue those are 82mm threw the whole tb,this amg one gets smaller in the center so for about a half inch the TB is actually a little smaller than 80mm and Im sure MB did this for daily driving and not not throw idle codes.
I think this came off an early 2003 sl55 and again I have not seen this part number come up in any of the old threads.
here it is!!!! enjoy

It might of been off a race setup mb did without the boost bypass valve under the supercharger.
and it also bolts right up to the bigger sc snout with no adapters needed for the holes,so your intake is going to fit perectly without adding any spacers in there

I heard you need to swap pins on that one.I will try the AMG one first and see how that runs and I dont think I need to swap the pins around on that one because it sits ecactly like stock setup.

I just lost mine in the dark forgetting that it was in one of the TBs and sent it flying down a ditch.
Here is where things get tricky,if you have a bigger tb and are throwing idle codes its probably becasue of this plug.
Now I know why our cars have the blade working the other way from all the bigger tb's.on the stock tb the hole is behind the blade where there is a lot of vaccume from the supercharger. If you tap the new tb and make the hole in the same spot the pulg will not see the same vaccume becasue with the new tbs working the opposite way the hole you just tapped will be on the open side of the blade where its almost like the plug is not even plugged in.
when the car is idling the blade is at 2.7 % so litterally the blade is closed and the hole where that hose goes is seeing all the vaccume from the blower side.
now I know why we have those spare holes on the sc snout,if you plug that hose into the sc snout the car will idle like stock and shouldnt throw any codes.
can someone post a picture of the stock plenum.I want to see how many plugs it has compared to the sl55 one.

Can you please post more pic of the splitter and how you connect the hoses? It would be so much appreciated.
under it there is a hole and the hole is behind the blade.I cant tap the new tb in the same spot since the hole will be infront of the blade.these are the way the car idles and the blade is where its supposed to be.
there is 2 hoses that tee into one that plug into the stock tb.You need to plug those into the tb or a spot on the plenum.

Adding a t to the y pipe was what I planned on doing before I saw that the stock hose gets plugged in after the blade.
it has the tube opening outside the blade, same position as Skratch77 mentioned (X) without any issue, this opening is not for vacuum, it is for oil vapor to get inside the engine, and you most need it at WOT where the tb is 100% opened and oil vapor can enter easily.
