How can I disable my brake lights?
Yes, that's right. Is there a way to connect a toggle switch to disable ALL brake lights from illuminating? Why you ask? My cousin is a trooper, and he says that when in pursuit of a speeding vehicle, they have been trained to watch for the brake lights. This allows them to follow the vehicle at night if the driver attempts to elude. He says prople that try and flee at night, normally turn off their driving lights, but they can still follow when the brake lights illuminate. Any advice would be appreciated.

Not sure on the E55 but on the domestics, the brake switch is on the arm of the brake pedal itself. They simply run either the input or output line through the toggle switch and it cuts the power to the brake lights.
Most police cars used to have that as well (not sure if they still do), but it kills all the lights inside and out. They use it to go unnoticed in the dark.

1) turn off all lights
2) speed excessively
3) don't use brakes
4) wreck totally
result
a) darwin at work
b) saves the world from another one

I did it on a mustang. Wired it up to the lighter. When you pushed the lighter in and make a circuit, the brake lights would stay off. Never used it in the event of a high speed chase though.

I could give two ****s about those that run form the cops. What I care about is when they crash and take people with them. My favorite aunt died in LA by some lowlife piece of human trash who did just this. I know your car makes you feel like a hero, but you're not. Feel free to **** up your own life, just do it without taking someone else with you.

Why not just learn how to appropriately upshift and downshift so you don't use the brakes...

Jeez guys, why are you so hard on this guy? EVEN if he decides to outrun a dick cop looking to punish you for your horrible crime of speeding alone on on an empty highway at 2am (not risking anyone elses life but his), let him be? He'll maybe use it what, once a year?
