i am sure most of the MB guys are waiting for Mo's event
i've personally been to a couple of events by jim from cal speed and they were always disastrous especially the one with the dyno day where he cancelled the event without telling everyone so some people did not find out till they got there and just last race day earlier this year he postponed the event 3 times (total of 4 months) after receiving the money from everyone!!!

125 cars which includes drag cars is a large number for Famosolast april there was a similar event and we ended up spending a lot of time waiting to get into the gate and more time to get tech'd

p.s. the weather at the end of october/early november averages 78 to 80 degrees so not too great for what we'd like

Thanks for the kind words guys....

Please stay tuned for our private rental event coming up in December. Our events are usually limited to about 40 to 50 cars and strategically picked on the coldest days of the year for Famoso.

Aside from the weather being a little warm for us MB guys, this looks like a great event.... best of luck to you guys

The event will be limited for 100 cars which is great because I've been to track days which were limited to a little less than that, and people were getting tons of passes. Also we've looked at weather around late October in Bakersfield and it is in the lower 70s to 60s.

on top of that the price is $108 which is really good from what i've seen other track days cost. add to that all paid racers will automatically be enrolled in a raffle to get different kind of car prizes and you have a awesome deal.

So i guess what im saying is why cant some MB guys come out and play?

Lets see some of the record breakers run with us, might even be a little friendly competition

Have fun guys. If/when Moe sets up the dates for the Private track day at Famoso, I'll roll to watch and support everyone that is going!

I decided to be content with where my car is right now in the quarter on pump. It's quick enough.

It was a great event.... nice to see so many super quick/fast cars there.... there's must've been at least 110+ cars !!!

Temperature was a little high for us (Mercedes guys) though especially with our super sensitive ECUs .... my handheld measured a high of 79 F at one point but kept fluctuating in the 70s. Hopefully in December it will be a little cooler than that.... I'm thinking maybe in the low 50s

Had a fun time yesterday. I couldn't get traction though and had to abort most of my runs. It is kind of hard running an open differential on my daily driver Nitto NT555rs. After noontime, I finally did manage a 11.12 at 129.43mph with a mediocre 1.83 60' time. The car should trap over 130mph, but the DA was over 1500Ft. If I could get traction, and give it full throttle in the beginning, the car would be in the 10's for sure. Most of the Mustangs are solidly in the 10's with 125mph+ traps.

There were some very fast cars. You definitely can't compete with those large displacement FI American cars. Plenty of Mustangs ran in the 9's. There was a 2300+ HP Mustang Prostock car that is capable of 5's. There was a big long bed plain looking pickup truck that runs 9's at 145mph. The SRT8 Jeep ran mid 10's at around 135mph. Wish there were some more German Cars out there! Of course, I was probably the only car that got 30mpg on my way home! Ran into a Supercharged Mustang with some racing sticker on it (Spanked Em Motorsports?) He had very loud exhaust, and a very loud roots type blower. Pretty blue gauges on his "A" pillar and dash. We ran from upper speeds and I beat him. Then he had me slow down to about 50mph and honked it off, I beat him even worse. That was definitely one of the best kills in my quiet, stock looking, 3 series sedan!

Great seeing you there! Its a small two stroke generator...enough to charge the battery, run some fans, etc. There really wasnt much waiting except for some mishaps. Most of the time you were wondering why not many people were in line.

Nope there were about 96-98 (call it 100) cars there, i checked the list at the gate from time to time and even at the end of the day. We could've opened it up to 130 cars with little to no difference in track time.

The staging lanes were so empty i thought only half the guys showed up but after seeing the list, i was wrong lol

Thanks to everyone who came out and for all the positive feedback. I especially like the one comment i hear over and over.... That there was such a diverse crowd of cars, you could pair off with just about anything to compare your car.

it was good to meet some of you guys too!!!!
