Got some exra $ and want more ponies...

I have some extra cash laying around and I want to go faster. Current mods are:

-180mm pulley
-VRP HEM's
-EC tune
-H/E pump

What says you gents?

(Or do I buy my 8th set of wheels in 20 months of ownership?)

Sounds like you need some headers.

Bro I'm saving that for when I win the lotto.

In all seriousness, will I benefit from dumping another $1500 in some "true" shorties or are the VRP HEM's good enough? Some members here made great power with them. I read through a couple threads and it looks like I may gain 4hp-5hp? I'd be spending $$ just for some better construction it sounds like.

What else is good to do? TB? Will that make any power?

TB is 15-20rw?

Everywhere I've read and the people I've spoken to said a TB with proper tuning is good for like 30-35rw and about same for tq?

To the OP:
You should have hopped on the EC LT headers group buy. Actually, come to think of it, I think there might be one or two spots open now...go to the group buy section of the forum, you'll see the thread.

EC's LTs are good for 45-50rwhp and same for tq!

TB. It's not just about the hp gained, but throttle response with an 82mm is noticeably improved compared to a modded E55 with a stock TB. I've driven both on the same day before. If not that, I would hit up MBTEK and see what the deal is with the KillerChiller project. Summer's coming to an end but this LA heat really turns our cars into slugs during the 90-110* temps.

LOL. I mean if you're trying to break records and have a money tree I get it. For 4 G's, I'd sell my 55 and get a ML63!

This would be the most responsible idea. It's not like I'm getting married in 16 hours and typing this from my suite at the St. Regis. lol

That would be ideal. Price is spot on, my concern is the bill for the installation...

I like it. Do you notice much of a change in daily commute? With my current set up I dont have much low end power but if I get on her and stay past 5K, I go into warp speed!

Please advise: The TB and your EC airbox make about the same power and cost about the same? Will I need a re-flash with either?

Thanks for the offer! What's the difference between the 80mm and the 82mm TB? What size is the one I have on my car now? 80mm "OEM", elaborate please..

I like the throttle response part. I let my Ruski body shop guy drive my ride and he was blown away. He DID say however that I should look into a sprint booster because you really have to let her rev up for that "pin you in the back of your seat" feeling. Will a TB improve the low end?

Thanks for all the replies, it looks like it's down to a TB or an Airbox. Or BOTH if I can get a good deal from someone here...
