Power loss (s/c works fine) :-/
Hey there guys!
Once again, another power-loss post in this section. But I think this time it is a little bit different than your regular I/c pump sc shutdown :-)
So, I have cls55 2005yr. Suddenly, it began to lose it's power and now even cls500 runs faster than my(ex)beast.
So I checked it with star diagnose. It showed no errors on ECU side.
I took it for a ride. IATs are about 68-70C. Pressure from the s/c is about 1500hPa which is about. Now, is it enough for such a ride?
If the problem is not with the sc making not enough boost, what else could it be?
The blow off valve is fine either.
So I am sitting here and scratching my head.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Not sure about massive power loss but don't ever underestimate the power of a worn belt. I have heard guys claim "night and day" power improvements with just new belt.

Oh also try a sneaky ECU reset.
https://mbworld.org/forums/w211-amg/148019-holy-crap-you-guys-sneaky-ecu-reset-works.html
These cars are ALWAYS adapting to your driving. Since we all don't drive on the Nurburgring constantly, it sets you up with granny settings on your tranny.
Worth a shot to cover the basics.
I will let the pros chime in on the big stuff.
Oh and can't tighten the belt. Its on a spring tensioner.

I'm in the same boat but I just got the car a week ago and dynod it today. Came up with 346whp 401wtq. Conditions weren't optimal, they were 90F but I just wanted a rough baseline dyno before I start modding and the operator dyno in 3rd gear in the regular mode. I was incredibly disappointed as I had just swapped the upper tensioner and supercharger belt. I know my H/E pump is going out and I ordered the CM30 and should be here next week but I cant imagine the pump is causing atleast a 40whp loss. Maybe a combination of heat, pump, operator error and 3rd gear created ssuch low numbers but I'm doubtful of it being all of that. I also did one run in an 1/8th mile track and only did 8.6@82 mph (incredibly disappointed by this...I came from a 335i and ran a 7.9@91 on bald tires and just pump gas and usual full bolt ons)

Yes, the power vanished over about 2-3 days gradually. Yesterday we tried to do a run without catalytic convertors - same $$it.
Maybe it is plugs? Or maybe i should clean the injection system?
If only I could check if what supercharger provides is enough of a boost... But no one seems to know.

Hm.... Could be true, yes. It still fell into the normal range so I assumed the pump and IATs are in check. What is the maximum temperature of the IATs, btw, for the s.c. To be working?

I think the SC will start shutting down around 170F, but you should see around 20F over ambient driving normally. The problem is that when you get on it, the IAT's go up very fast. 158F sounds like a bad pump, unless it is 135F where you live

The blow off valve is fine either.
So I am sitting here and scratching my head.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Do you know what your IATs are? You can start from the basics... Check/clear cels and check your IATs at end of a WOT run.

BTW, changed the super charger belt after power reduction, that didn't make any difference.
Also, thought it might help if I posted this...
