wheel paint shop in DC metro area, anyone?

We had the same topic like a year ago, and was wondering if anyone knows good place to pain wheels. Previous owner of my HRE's did very poor job painting them, so I need to repaint them. So far I found old ye wheel shop that takes at least 2 months to do it and http://www.customfunctionz.com/

your input would be highly appreciated!

I went to HS with the owner's son of Ye Old. They do great work, but their turnaround is ridiculous, I will never go to them again.

Have you tried Wheel Worx?

They're tough to get a hold of sometimes; their old shop used to be right by where I live. I called multiple times to no avail, so I finally said F it and went to the shop. I told him I called many times. From what I'm told, they answer their phone or return calls promptly ...

In any event, they do exceptional work and they are much faster than any other wheel shop I've dealt with for previous cars.

We are not the cheapest, but we do offer our very own refinishing/repair services. And if the wheels are under warranty, it would not void our manufactures warranty, which is 2 years for finish and lifetime for structural (on current wheels).

You can contact HRE directly via phone at 760-598-1960 or email us at info@hrewheels.com

Or via our website, http://www.hrewheels.com/contact_us/

if only you were on east coast! shipping a set of rims from DC to Cali and back is not the cheapest thing to do.

Unfortunately, shipping is an extra cost.

Do you know if they are at:
8213 Cloverleaf Dr
Millersville, MD 21108

I remember there was a shop somewhere in Gaithesburg area, near an airport, but I can't remember a name of that shop.

Old ye wheel shop does money work. my friend didnt want to wait and had some other shop powdercoat his rims, dont know there name. Long story short, it took longer than they quoted him, didnt package them up correctly, and had spiderwebs in the finish. Nothing horrible but not perfect. He was gonna send them back but with the additional down time he said F it. Given that your having them repainted because the paint not up to your standards.....I would wait.

Just called Ye olde wheel shop, 4 weeks for apointment and then 2 weeks to to paint them. No one questions their quality, but wait time is just too long. There gotta be another place in DC area that can paint wheels.

Just go to Wheel Worx (they take walk-ins, that's how I did my previous car) and wait until they're done (there's a shopping center/mall right around the corner that you can waste time).

However, Millersville, MD is a slight hike from where you are and I don't know if you're willing to travel up this way and waste basically an entire day.
