Well, to be honest...it feels kind of the same...lol
When I removed my supercharger and reinstalled it for the meth system, I must have forgotten to plug the bypass valve under the supercharger because I immediately get a code saying it's not functioning.
Sooo...I figured that before I fix it, I may as well play with it to see what changes.
Well, to be honest, not a whole lot. The ONLY thing I can feel different is that when I let off the throttle the car takes maybe 1 second to stop accelerating when before it would be instant. This would be because the engine is still presurized for a second or so even after the throttle closes. The bypass valve would vent any pressure left if it was working. It felt kinda scary at first cause I thought the car was not going to stop...lol....but it's more mental than anything else.
Other than that...it'll still kill power just the same due to wheel spin but I have yet to see how it affects boost from gear to gear. Maybe some more logging tomorrow.

the reason why the bypass is there is the route the boost back in the intake or atmosphere ( depending on the car) it protects the turbo from surging and bending the turbo fins.. just do not have to much fun and high boost runs becuase the boost is staying in the charge system and will try the spin the turbo backwards and will bend the fins.. which is why people hear a fluttering sound and that is the turbo chopping the boost pressure that did not get let out

Weird, when I unplugged mine for fun, car went instantly into limp mode.
Same as with no blower belt, maybe even more wimpy. Neat that your S/C stayed on.

Anyways...here are some logs.
Compared to my previous ones...they seem very similar so I don't really see an advantage to this.
These are the previous ones.

I have this unexplored theory that a certain amount of boost is pushed passed the the bypass (weather its plugged in or not) I know it can be turned of in tuning, It would be interesting to physically block of the port, turn of the bypass motor and run a BOV instead.

you will need to tune it for this, we faced 2 55k that had them closed, one used CLK DTM S/C or SLR ( S/C part # started with 199 ) the other was already modded by ART and the bybass TB was removed and a plate was installed.
closing it without a tune to fix it will make the car working as your S/C is off.
OETuning Jeremy tuned the cars for these.
