2017 991.2 Turbo PDK 2017 C63S Coupe Ceramic Brakes 2015 CLS63S AMG Full House
Hope this Whipple Supercharger works well for the E55K, and gives the new W212 E63TT/PP [and the same E63TT/PP thereafter gets very well modded, by a respectable aftermarket tune shop = Super Power
],
a very difficult time in a straight line.![Stick Out Tongue](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/tongue.gif)
With the heritage of the SLR motor and 55K motor sharing some similar components, we should be able to make the W211 E55K
"The Kraken"![EEK!](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/eek.gif)
Would be nice to see the Ultimate "E55K"

2005 E55 AMG
I think this is much more probable that a twin turbo kit. Our superchargers are efficient but a whipple can be had with larger displacement which what we really need. And while a good turbocharger setup will always make more power than a good supercharger setup, I think 650+whp is good enough for me...lol.

Here are some up close pics of the 2.3, I still have to measure both units, but I am pretty sure the surge tanks will be dumped:

Look how easy it will be to change pulley setups on this b***h, seconds, only 4 screws and this is an 8 rib setup too
Pulleys can be had for $140 new or $75 used. Another thing that is shweet imo, is that the supercharger is always spinning, so you will no longer feel the jerk from the engagement of the blower. Another plus, if you run gatorbacks belts, they give off a high pitch whistle at idle, and basically sounds like a centrifugal blower when the hood is closed, not to mention the high pitch scream they give off at WOT. So much win, can't wait for the spare unit to come in.

A pic of the 3.0 pulley verses what is on the blower now, a 3.25 which is roughly 3psi swap in less than 5 minutes
I am pulling the 3.25 off, and putting the 3.00 on this week to see what the boost increase will be along with added power and tq. I will post results although it will be totally different on the 55K. You could buy a hand held, tunes loaded for several pulleys, change pulleys in seconds and upload your built file. That simple![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

Well, the surge tank is like a path for the compressed air that passes after the IC right? that is for our stock system.
But, when you go different system, it depends on the system, I don't see how it will not work since these SC system can be installed on different cars (engines), it should work even if you have to let go most of the old SC component or even all !!!!
Now, I dont' have experience on setting up charger on N/A cars or charged cars, but I have always question, is our SC controlled or related to the ECU? If yes, how to manage the new SC if installed?
We have dual TBs in our system now, it means more electric wires on the engine bay, if you moved to single TB system (let's say close to our system, SLR) what are going to do with that cable for the previous TB and based on that other components may have the same root, i.e. components you will let go coz it is no longer inside the circuit, is it tuner thing? then the tuner has to be near the car for better understand and inspection, no?
A lot of questions on my mind specially that I am not an expert in these things.

You will like the pricing even better. I already have a pricing for the custom intake needed, and like I said, 2.3 blowers all the way up to 3.4 whipples range from $2200.00 used-$3,800.00 new

I have been told that you can contact kenny bell and they will pick your car up and add one of their blowers on your car. Your car is a development car for the company.
I think that its a good idea to add a whipple or kenny bell onto the e55.

OMG I am sooooooo excited to see if this actually happens. I would LOVE to hear the sound of a 2.8H Kenne Bell under the hood of my AMG. I have the 2.6H on my 03 Cobra and it is amazing

I spoke with Kenne Belle 2 years ago, and they said they are not looking to get into the E55 market. However for a one off build, you would need to send them your car and expect to pay in the ball park of $30K for R&D.

Not really...they use the same design as out oem chargers. They can just be had larger which will displace more air per revolution which means that the SC car make more boost while spinning slower which = lower IAT. But the efficiency per say is pretty much identical. What we need is Evosports intercooling system to be made at a sick price.

2001: Supercharged E55 AMG
I would love to see a Whipple, Kenne Bell or some other big blower in a W211
That along with a nice IC system would make some really serious power and whine with more boost!
I think my Magnuson MP112 blower sounds pretty good at only 0.6 bar (8,7 psi).
