What's my car worth? Retail ... 06 black/black, 43K miles

I need to sell one of my cars to free up some immediate liquid cash for a healthy downpayment on a gorgeous vacation home we found in Southern California.

Just curious what my car is worth.

It is a 2006, black on black, with 43K miles. I am the second owner, No accidents. I don't have the options list on me... it doesn't pano and some other features, but I don't have this offhand ...

Wheels look almost flawless. Paint looks great, no major scratches and zero dents.

I'm at work and don't have pictures.

Car is bone stock except for only EC HE and Johnson pump - not really mods, but make the car consistent.

I am hoping to get high 20s/low 30s in a private sale($28-31K)?

What will a car like this do private sale? auction?

To put things in perspective, i purchased my 05 E55 last year w/55k miles for $25k at the dealer with no warranty when they wanted $29k. Bone stock.

So to want high 20s/low 30s for my car is reasonable, considering it's a year newer and 12K less miles.

I've been pricing cars all over the country and it seems a car like yours is listing from anywhere from mid 20's to right around low low 30's. That's asking price. Probably sell for a couple grand less. If it's a lot cleaner than typical other ones you might find on the market I'd look to get 27-28 on the high end realistically. That said you find the right person with $ to blow that loves that car and you can geta few more G's easily. A quick sale I'd look to end up at mid 20's.

Not a chance man, mid 20's for a 06 with low miles. What is funny here is that there are alot of E55's selling in the $30s, that are probably not half as nice as this one. That guy is a newb and just looking at prices means squat.

Don't try and sell your car on the forum, everyone thinks they know it all, and want it for dirt cheap. Go to autotrader, craigslist or Ebay.

I have sold a ton of cars, and the forums are usually the last place you would want to try to sell.

Car is SOLD!

$31K out the door. This was the second person to look at the car. He came two days later, paid me and that was that.

Cool. I paid 36K for my '06 (loaded, merlot inserts) in May '10 and now has 45k miles on it. So maybe it's depreciated only 5K, which would be outstanding

2005 E55 AMG
Around here most 55's have 70k+ miles and are still fetching 23k-25k. I drove up to PA and picked up a perfect bone stock femaled owned 2005 with 36k miles for $29200. I would think your being a 2006 with low miles would get every bit of $29k-$32k in my market. Good luck!

That's about what I sold my 42K mile 06 for this past March. My car had fewer (read: no) options, but some warranty remaining. And it sold within a week at that price. Smells like market value.
