TB grind reset - wont work
I installed the TB and followed the TB reset guide from an old post.
I don't have a scan tool, so I disconnected the battery and then did the "sneaky ECU reset"
I followed the rest of the TB reset and started her up.
the revs hang around 1300rpm and if i touch the throttle the revs climb out of control and i have to shut the car off.
I've checked and rechecked all the usual suspects.( hoses and wires) and still nothing.
I've tryed the reset 3 times today and now I'm ready to throw the TB into the lake.
Any advise?
Thanks
Thanx Tbal
Another way you may go, you can recalibrate the TB using STAR, there is a procedure in start that takes you step by step, it involves raising rpm to a certain level and trigger the "yes" on STAR at that same time.
I was following Tbal's post about the "TB reset", but I don't have a tool to reset the ECU.
I'm going to turn the TB blade 180 and see if that helps. It maybe possiblt that after the grind, it was put on backwards ( if there's even a difference)
All the oil vent hoses are attached and I'm confident that the TB is seated properly.
As the last poster said - I just hope this isn't a dud.
Thanks for the help

Sorry the reset didnt help... try it anyway and skip the scan tool part...?
, You love the power with the new 82mm TB, I would recommend to let the vendor grind it for you to get 85mm if possible. I would recommend TTM for the TB.
