No, these are weld-in. The factory down pipe is cut at the outlet of the primary catalyst, and the KLEEMANN down pipe is then welded into place.

Guys this is a ridiculous deal.jumpppp on these!!!

I made almost 600rwt and 530whp on regular gas with these and have no check engine lights with there tuning and pass obd inspection with ease.

Hey cory pm me if you have a 168 pulley laying around.I need to lower the boost because I'm sick of not being able to use the power on the streets with the 178

+1 with Skratch. Those thinking of headers that don't want the pain of long tubers.....these are EXACTLY what you need.

I do miss my Klees

what a great price!!! Do you have any pulleys as well? If i decide to get aftermarket 300cell primary cats, that should eliminate the CEL?

Agreed. . .Best performance mod - hands down (and a smoking price for a new set to boot) - don't know what the options are for those who want to run cats (factory and aftermarket????). . . also just passed inspection - no cel as well.

Skratch - I don't know what your definition of putting power down on the streets but with my mods (which are less than yours), and the fact that you're a couple hundred miles north of me (colder temps) - I'm spinning at 40mph if I get on it with 295's 20's on the rear. . .I love the 168 pulley. . .but it's still impossible to put power down; the only way I consistently got power down in any environment on street tires was stock pulley with Kleemann headers - the lack of boost was perfect for launching!!!!!!

you're welcome always trying to help out a fellow member if possible. Looks like i will jump on this header deal and if Cory has a pulley, do that as well.

you're running no cats and no CEL...nice....

If you are not hooking on the street with a 168 pulley, you have the wrong tires. You need drag radials

I am tempted to add the headers. Do you guys have cooling mods as well? If so what would you recommend? Also, I want to keep car as quiet as possible without sacrificing too much power. What would those of you with headers recommend?

He said he cant make power on the street.. silly! *** I think, I don't know, lets just get the the second point:

Hooking up is a whole other issue

Adding a set of any headers will help to get the gases out of the motor and are a cooling mod in itself, as it allows the motor to breath better. As far as quietness goes, AMG did an amazing job with the E55 mufflers, they make max power and are as quiet as it gets. Adding these headers or any in fact, will not increase much in sound as long as you leave the resonator and stock mufflers intact. You will notice a slight throaty sound at WOT but cruising and in town driving will be whisper quiet.

Good cooling mods are Meziere eletric water pump and aftermarket heat exchanger.

What would you want to hook for on the street, sideways FTW

Can someone post a pic of the headers off the car?

What kind of header is this? Mid length? What stainless is used? What's the advantage of choosing these vs a long tube header such as FF or EC?

How much power do these add by themselves or with supporting mods (i.e. pulley and dyno tune)?
