My light rotors took 50lbs off!

Per my UPS scale that is, maybe a tad less on the E class. Nice to have new rotors and loose some heavy rotational weight!

They sure help make up for the extra weight of the trunk tank.

Is the weight removed from the "hat" of the rotor or from thinner walls/vanes in the rotors?

These are not Evosports. I bought a set of evos but they would not fit my CL, so I contacted Brad and Evosport to sell me the hats for the Texas mile. He acted like he would work with me but then never heard back or answered my emails. I then was contacted by another company and they sent me these samples! I hope when I give them the good feedback, they will load thier dealers up.

They fit right on and it was an easy change out. Just hard getting stock rotors off, as they were rusted on. My front rotors were 38lbs each and these were 22.75lbs each. I have to check on the rears again but most the weight came off the front`s and 20 off the back, as I recall. It may be a little over 50 but again, have to check the backs again.

All the weight was in the hats, that I could tell but hard to say.

Ok, Brad has sinced contacted me and they just were not able to get the new CL/S class rotors completed in time for the mile. This was a new item for the CL and I think they still stock thier normal rotor packages.

The CL/S class cars share the same rotor size as the E but the hat offset is different. The CL seems to have a heavier steel stock hat. At least from what I have seen posted. Either way, the savings is huge! The rear hats save more than I originally thought, as they are larger than the front hats, as they house the parking brake!

how about going to a larger rotor ring? like the 390mm on the 030 CLS? from what i understand, the calipers are the same, the mounting bracket is just different. i'm sure some kind of a spacer can be made in order to fit a larger rotor...

are OEM rotors truly 360mm? brembo makes a 355mm rotor, but it's 32mm thick... i think OEM is 34mm thick?
those can be had for $220 each...

To the post way up there: On most aftermarket 2-piece rotors, the front rotors are a mil or 2 thinner and the vaning wider. The OEM 2-piece fronts are actually beastly pieces that are super tough and pretty thick...

Nice on the 50lbs...That's pretty awesome coming off of unsprung weight...

Don`t remember what the rear weigh but if you know what your stockers are, these rears are 13.5lbs.
