Nor'Easter vs. E55..... !! PICS !!
18" of fresh snow between Friday evening and Saturday morning...

Looks a little like a CLS profile!!

My E55 igloo....

Fortunately, we didn't lose power. The pizza delivery guy barely made it to our house on Friday night, and Saturday and Sunday were both warm enough that most of the snow that was left on the driveway (after snowblowing) has already melted away and the driveway is completely clear and ice-free again.
You guys in the south and west coast are probably REALLY confused by these photos....but these photos were too fun not to share.

5-6" in Frederick, MD. The SL600 and E500 were as snug as a bug in the garage. The Range Rover wasn't so lucky.

I keep watching that YouTube video of the two BMWs (330i?) driving in the snow....one has the open diff, the other has the Quaife limited slip. The Quaife looks SOOO much smoother and more fun in the snow with nice controlled drifts... the open diff looks a lot more jerky and unpredictable by comparison.
Time is running out before winter, but I'd sure like to find some time to get a Quaife installed before the "REAL" snow starts falling!!!

Dealing with the burdens of not being able to use cars for part of the year (or having to change your setup) and not being able to go to work or anywhere from being snowed in or having no power no thanks.
I suppose the quattro A4 would be fun and useful though in the snow. I am still wearing shorts and t-shirts and will be for another month with daytime temps in the 70s.
Shoot here I was yesterday in some early winter attire with a "snow blower" but won't be blowing any snow around here. Just blowing some leaves off the driveway lol.

I will say though that it doesn't stay miserable like that as long as it stays freezing cold up north though. I can just remember being in Chesapeake Virginia earlier this year for work from end of February until mid April and it was "freezing" almost the entire time I was there and when it wasn't freezing it was still like upper 50s or low 60s most of the time at the very end of my stay. So I can only imagine what it was like even more north, shoot I was in Connecticut for work all of June and went home like July 7th and I was wearing a little jacket everday then too since it was still like low 60s when it broke out of the 50s in the day. And what made it worse was seeing friends post stuff on Facebook back at home about how they just got this great tan from laying on the beach at the end of February and here I was wearing a hoodie in June.

Hey, at least your E55 won't suffer from Heat Soak!

Thanks for sharing those amazing pics!
. The hotter it gets the less cloths women wear.
And its hard to find shade under all these palm trees
. This is my nightmare!

I know how fast those noreasters can come without warning and it looks like you tried to make it inside your garage, but the storm beat you to it !!
Please tell us you have a Veyron sitting in the garage staying warm !!!
I remember living in Princeton, NJ and just got back from the CES show in Vegas and landed in Philly. What is normally a 45 minute drive took nearly 5 hours to make it home. 36 inches of snow. Brutal.
Luckily you didn't have any trees or big limbs fall on your ride. I hear with the heavy snow, that was a real concern.
Now you have to worry about all the salt on the roads !!!
Thanks for the pics.
