COMPUTER SCANNER NEEDED FOR BRAKE JOB?
Im in need of front brakes and rotors and wanted to do them here at my shop but wasnt 100% on if the computer needed to be disabled to keep the calipers from locking.. could i just disconnect my battery and install the parts? also what has been your guy's experience with aftermarket pads? the good? the bad? and the ugly?

I unplugged my SBC unit when I did my last brake job.
I cannot speak for aftermarket pads, but the pads I bought from the dealer create a ton of brake dust and fade after 3-4 hard stops.

I just unplugged the SBC module, installed pads, (Akebono FTW) then re connected, no problems. Oh and I have not had to clean my wheels in a week now and they are still lookin good.
