04 E55 vs 12 point buck = losers all the way around:(
Yep, just got home from the encounter. . .fortunately, saw him at the last minute, the road had no other cars, I zigged, he zagged, missed the front end collision but he did a number on my left side (I'll post pics tomorrow).
The good:
1) Vossens where tucked safely away in the garage
2) Nobody was hurt (except for the buck but like the criminal he is, he fled the scene)
3) I was able to drive home
4) I guess I wont have to pay for the paint job on my new E63 bumper I just bought
5) dont need a police report (called them - they told me that)
6) I'm fairly impressed with myself that I was able to count the points as he was getting ready to put his rack through my window.
7) I drive a 11 sec E55 for fun that proves why Mercedes are "Mercedes"
The bad
1) not a fan of taking any life (even if that ****er had a death wish)
2) damage really doesn't look that bad but the car is definitely driving "off" (i'm fairly confident that the front wheel took a hit and the suspension paid part of the price)
3) can't open the driver's door from the outside
4) LITERALLY JUST WASHED THE CAR TODAY
5) turn signal's out, pretty sure my "turning headlights" are not turning, and blood and hair is just nasty on a car....
6) down time to get it fixed
Edit: absolutely no drinking was involved - was picking up the wifey from the metro (as she had been drinking - single gentlemen - yet another reason to think long and hard about marriage

Too bad, but the important thing is all the humans are alright. Hit a deer with my 996TT within a couple weeks of buying it. Sucks, but you honestly can't tell -- they did a great job repairing it.
Good luck!

That sucks bro. I have zigged and zagged a few bucks in my time living in Colorado and had some scary close calls.
Glad you are OK and hope that the damage to your car is not bad and wish you a speedy and quality repair. Glad no one was hurt (most importantly).

Sorry to hear it. At least you have a good sense of perspective about things. And it could always be worse...my brother hit a buck in his X3 a month ago and totaled his car, along with breaking his arm.
Hate that it wasted a good washing. I'll be curious to see your pics.
Hang in there.

UGH..
Sorry Motorkas, I hate to see this especially on the carsthat are well loved by the owner and so pimpish.
Your "The Good" list is longer than your bad list. And your E63 conversion will be free from here on out. Can't wait to see it.
I had an 03 Evo 8 that I had dumped a bunch of money into-when it was ONE YEAR OLD a dear jumped out in front of me at 60+...it was dead of winter and very cold so when I swerved the tail stepped out and caught over the ridge of the road which had no shoulder. That pulled me down into the guardrail and and wrecked the whole right side of the car. Totalled.
GD WILDLIFE!!! Good luck with the rebuild.

Hey really sorry about the car...glad the wheels were safe... That is the main reason I try to avoid quick blasts at night or any night driving for that matter, but at the same time you can't live your entire life in fear. The clean car may have helped you to notice all the damage. I had a deer run into my 02 Accord (commuter) yrs ago and the car was covered with salt. I left it dirty to show the snot and fur for the adjuster to see. I didn't realize until after, that the deer must have spun and the back feet/hooves hit the door. Insurance was trying to say it was unrelated until I put some pressure on them, finally all was fixed. You mentioned no alcohol involved...but we don't know that for a fact....Maybe thats the reason the deer took off??....lol Anyway good luck with the repair, I'm sure when its all said and done the car will be back to new, until then try to keep your head up.
