Uhh, speak for yourself, it has been in the 80s where I am right now lol. Oh and a side note, I noticed the Weistec supercharger kit for the M156 and the new one for the 113k both don't have looped fuel rails and cars are making mid 600s. I would guess the billet rails are a little bigger inside though, but those higher flowing injectors are the ticket.

The members that insist that the TTM FUEL RAIL along with the TTM INJECTORS isn't necessary are misleading all members that believes that to be true. 10.59@131 and I am sure that TTM Fueling Kit equipped E55 has full compression in ALL CYLINDERS!!!

The 2 most active tuners on MB World recommend the TTM Fueling kit to all of their heavily modified clients. They are also the 2 tuners that found 25-30rwhp after just ADDING THE TTM FUELING KIT!(Thank you Jeremy and Jerry)

One member who claims to be making 530+rwhp still has stock injectors too and is the biggest culprits spewing misleading information to the entire MB World community. A couple of 3-4 gear runs in cold weather and...........you guys know the rest! RIP. The weather in the NE is great for DA but bad for unequipped cars. I wouldn't hold my breath!
If you don't believe Bruce, just look at the SLR rail set up (and pistons) and look the rails on other high performance motors. The 113's cast pistons further reduce the margin for error.

Nice its around 60 during the day but it dips into the upper 20's to low 30's at night here in the bay lately.

I saw the weather channel yesterday and it showed a pic of all the U.S. and Florida was the only place that was warm, and I am currently in the Keys where it is even warmer. It was getting cool at night (low 50s) when I was home in north Florida though a few days ago but still upper 70s and 80 in the day.

I know you get Johncy. Data logging is also extremely important too to let your tuner know the data for them to compensate in your particular tune. They do have revisions specific to your car.

Bruce, will the red 550cc injectors work with your fuel rail? Or do I have to buy the rail and injectors?

Holy cow!! I go away for Christmas and come back to this!!

What a nightmare!!

First things first. I am so sorry bro, it's every 55r's worst nightmare to even consider that his motor is blown. It can happen at redline or LITERALLY it can happen driving home in cruise at 60mph. Yup happened to a really big OG here.

Here's hoping it's not major but your symptoms sure don't sound very good.

I tried to flip through every post I could but there's a lot of them now......
Did you ever pull a plug? I wouldn't have been able to sleep unless I saw that #8 plug or at least a few of them.

I had a lot of fun with my "raise the limiter" post/thread but just as Jerry said it was only raised 200rpm. My car is also an 03 and she does not hold in gear at redline. Auto shifts in M whether I like it or not.

It did hold me at that higher rpm a bit more in 2nd to 3rd / 3rd to 4th and I will be datalogging the crap out of it (like Jerry told me in the first place)

As one of the old guys here I can say one thing for sure. Sans maybe a lucky one or two, there are posts over the years blaming every single tuner ever to sell tunes for these cars. Yes even the beloved Renntech and believe it or not, even people having sour grapes with Kleemann (which is near blasphemy to those that have known Cory over the years)

If you DO end up needing a new motor, please PLEASE be super careful who you buy a used engine from. I have watched a guy from this forum purchase TWO duds in a row claiming to be gently used. He ended up purchasing from a respected guy on here.

If we can help in anyway, just let us know. Come on burnt valve with no damage!!!

Jim

Thanks guys. I was trying to force it using the shifter and didn't realize this was the way AMG programmed the transmission. I looked down doing about 140mph after I let off and the engine was near redline with the shifter in D. I was like WTF? Didn't like that at all, but will try using the upshift button on the wheel next time. I'll stay in S mode and keep things safe.

Has there ever been a case of a blown engine with just a ECU tune? Or are they usually in line with heavy modding?

LOLL

On a side note, I was one of the first to have the TTM fueling kit, and my car is usually on the dyno, getting worked on the street or at the track. The first time I had that car at the track was at Steele, AL with the temp in the high 30's. Did about 8 passes that night and then drove home with no issues at all except going sideways through all of first and into 2nd going down the 1320 My car also made big power on the dynojet with that kit, 541/635..... so it does work!

Can you please tell me where to buys these, I'll purchase them immediately. I'm about to get the Eurocharged stage 3 plus installed and rather avoid messing the car up. I wanna get everything I need to properly run it and put it all in while everything else is gonna get done

IM pretty sure I read where they are at about 70% of max, they can put out much more before becoming grenades. The guy said he was in "M" manual mode and frigged up the 3-4 shift, must've hesitated and gave the tranny mixed messages, it went into neutral and over revved and KABOOM!! Leave it in S and only manual shift for a quicker down ****. Im not a drag racer so if you are ignore the driving tips, I love to turn at the end of a 120 mph straights. :-)
