It's becoming quite clear that this will be required equipment on this car. What detector do you use and how effective is it? Merry Christmas guys!

Chicago where I live is using a ton of LIDAR which is very hard to detect so I stick to knowing where they usually hide and run speed traps and keeping my eyes open. We have speed camera's coming here very soon as well which is gonna make it all kinds of interesting as we all speed around here.

Passport SRX, is what I have now, the laser jamer is a must. Works 100%
V1 works but has no laser detector let alone a jamer.
The new passport to have is the 9500 CI they retail for $1500 plus install.

I have a V1 and it has laser detection as proven by my first jaunt from PBIR where i got busted for doing 90 in a 65 (V1 went off but i didn't have the volume up enough) Plus the state trooper was blipping it over the crest and i was the first one he got with no one else on the road besides RBJ behind me.

I'm in Scotland for the holidays. Borrowed a Garmin which has a speed camera database, I think, in it so it warns you when there is one in the area as well as providing nav and other functions. I don't know how it is updated.
Wish Comand did the stuff this does and had such an easy UI. they use the same map software supplier.

I have been lasered at short range doing speeds well over the limit and hearing the warble of the laser jamer going off. So short of range I could see eye to eye with the cop that lasered me, and he had the look of WTF is wrong with my laser gun. I am sure some of the Tampa crew know the short range laser trap on the curve by the airport.
Sorry I missed the fun at PBIR, I wanted to go, but the holidays had me running around like a crazy man.
