DCU Engineering engine bay mounted intercooler tank
Ok the DCU Engineering part is a joke, those are my initials since I made it. Did a little the other day and finished it today. Gonna polish it up a little more later and get some hose to get it mounted but the hard part is done.
Have wanted a bigger separated water tank for the intercooler and finally got the chance to do it. Here is my existing small one that I will be taking out.

Some mock up of the new one with foam board and hot glue![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

And some in the process of making pics, then the finished product.

You can see the drain valve in the back right corner and then the feed connection is under the tank in the back left corner. It sits just to the left of the battery underneath so the hose will route up from under the tank and then go under where the washer fluid tank fill cap is with the wires that run through there.

Not sure if you could fit that somewhere or not, but then also how big is that tank? The one I made will hold 1.5 gallons so it is not huge but decently sized.

I am not trying to make parts to sell, just wanted something for my car and knew I could do it dirt cheap while visiting family for Christmas. It cost me $12 for that plastic lid, $7 for a drain valve and $4 for some silicone. All the rest was free, I did it at my friend's father's welding shop in the Florida Keys where I am from. I wouldn't be able to do this stuff back at "home" in Jacksonville anyway even if I wanted to try and make stuff to sell.

Very nice! How much?
That will save a lot of weight in hoses.

$23 for tank odds and ends (silicone, plastic cap, drain valve) + $12 for some hose= $35. You too can have one as long as you have access to a welding shop and the owner is going to give you the aluminum, threaded fittings, screws and hose barbs for free
I know you were being sarcastic with the "how much" in a different meaning. All I have to say to that is NOT FOR SALE!!!!!!!!!!!
There will not be another one of these being made by me so that is not even funny! Mods, leave me alone! IT IS NOT FOR SALE!!!![crazy](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/crazy.gif)
It cost me $35, I am not to in to the Benz tax rape you with no lube stuff that goes on around this place from a lot of vendors.

It went in place of the big black cabin filter housing for the a/c. I dug through a bunch of filters at Advance Auto and found one that is close to the size of where the cabin filter inlet is. It needs a little trimming but I will fit it in there behind the new water box so I still have a filter.
