Transmission Fluid Leaking , WHY ME
just the other day o left my car parked as usual, i get bcd from work, and see a puddle of oil, long story short i took it to my indy shop , happens that my transmission pan has to be replaced, because the mechanic suggested if i keep driving it it will mess up my transmission, already my trans had been lagging lately, staying too long in 3rd , $400 bucks ,

Do not understand why he needs to change the actual pan. The gasket could leak, however a gasket and filter cost under $20 new. Factor in 4 quarts of trans fluid-still at odds over $400.00. Also, common for the electrical connector to leak which could to fluid moving up into the TCU. A new connector is under $20.00 easy. Might as well do that while at it.

looking at the actual bill , i actually got charged 86 for oil change, and 300 for the electrical connector will , take a pic of the bill and post it when i get a chance to go back outside, i wanna know if i got swindled in paying that much,

The electrical connector is like a $20 part from the dealer and seriously takes a good 5 mins to replace once on the lift. If only the connector was replaced and fluid was topped off, you got ripped off. If he dropped the pan and did a whole service including filter and pan gasket and filled the trans back up with 4 quarts, then $400 ballpark isn't too bad. btw, the electrical connector is a common leak, so its not just your luck. It should always be replaced when you get a trans service with filter change.

NOW THAT I DO NOT KNOW, GETTING TIRED OF THESE EVERYDAY THINGS, NOW THIS MORNING MY BRAKE LIGHT COME ON AGAIN, AFTER I JUST CHANGED ALL FOUR BRAKES , ROTORS AND SENSORS, WENT FROM NOT HAVING A SINGLE PROBLEM ON MY 07 LEXUS GS350 THAT I PAID OFF TO THIS , ARGHHH, WILL JUST PARK IT FOR THE WINTER, THE HEADACHE IS GETTING TOO MUCH,

DID A QUICK SEARCH , I AM HOPING ITS THE $16 STOP LIGHT SWITCH , IF IT IS THE SBC I HOPE MB IS GOING TO COVER IT, (111,760 MILES), ALTHOUGH, THE CAR DRIVES AND BRAKES JUST FINE

Why would MB cover something with that many miles, and why are you shocked that a car with six-figure mileage is having issues?

Swing by the shop and we'll scan it for you and let you know what you need. If it is the sbc brake unit, I believe MB cover it for 10 years.

I was thinking it was the connector.. On another note if these minor problems are pissing you off now your in for it big buddy
I would deffinatly do what shardul said "invest in a STAR DAS system"

LOOKS LIKE AM GOING TO PALATINE SATURDAY, WHAT TIME ARE YOU GUYS OPEN TILL , I GET OFF WORK AT 2 AND WORK IN SCHAMBURG, ..........PLUS AM SORRY PEOPLE THAT AM CRYIN LIKE A BABY, BUT U GOTTA UNDERSTAND I CAME FROM A 07 LEXUS GS350 WHICH FOR THREE YEARS ALL I HAD TO DO WAS OIL CHANGE, BRAKES AND BUY GAS, LOL, AND I BOUGHT IT AT 60KMILES AND DROVE IT TO 134K MILES , PROBLEM FREE
