quick hid question for the fog lights

Can we just buy a 9006 hid conversion kit and install that new bulb in the regular housing or will it not fit/melt ect with the extra heat from the hid?

i have had HID in my fogs for 3 years without any issues. To do it right I would get the fog light housing with the projector lenses

Some bulbs do get really hot. The factory fog lens in my dodge ram is starting to crack from the heat right in front of the bulb so I'd look into the heat thing or ask the vendor.

I have bought many kits from DDM with no issues. Any malfunction lights or codes thrown when you convert the fog lights over to HID's? IS the best temp to match stock HID's 6k? I need to do this ASAP along with the inside running lights.

I went threw a few sets of leds to find some that didnt throw codes.i would try a 6k 9006 kit with a 35 watt ballast and go from there.

I need to watch out how much amps some kits pull because im running my pump switched threw the fog ligts and i dont want to pull to much currant threw them

HID fogs work fine (any brand) as long as you buy a set of "cancellor" plugs as well. These hook up in series to the hid fogs and prevent the ecu from throwing any codes and flashing. Also, u can get leds, etc from ebay for the side markers, etc. Just make sure they are the "error free" ones. Hope this clears up any questions. Also, it is easiest to drive the car up on a ramp (u can buy a set on amazon around $50) and do the fogs from underneath the car. It's like a 30 min job if you're fast and an hour if you're **** like me!!
