You know like the BBS RS's from the P cars.

I know we cant run those types of crazy offset, 109385in wide wheels or run tires past 275 or 285 without some luck and rolling of fenders, but I have seen some AMG cars with some pretty decent sized lips. Has anyone ever tried a wheel with this Euro car feel?
This may be worth calling Dan at CCW and building a set of something crazy in the PERFECT offset.

goodness, I know its not his car and a W212 but those lips are pretty weak and it still looks good!

on a sidenote, I realized I said 'we' and I dont even own one yet. I feel like a poser for sure
on a side-side note I drove my buddy Mike's slightly modded E55 the other day and oh my! I think Ashley may try and drive it since its auto. This is something i'm scared of. At least the vette and the GTO's were all 6 speed so she never had an excuse to get behind the wheel of my cars and curb it.... Females.
The most regret I have had selling a car was getting rid of this almost 2 years ago. This is whats got me yearning for something fun, I landed on the E to satisfy much criteria. I couldnt shove $10,000 in camera and rig equipment into the vette; I can in the E. It had heads and cam (~430whp) and 9,000 miles, and the pullied E55 I drove the other day would have walked circles around it.
Still, it was the nicest car I had owned to date and an experience like none other. Anyone who hasnt felt the RAW, low & planted feeling of a C5Z should experience that sometime. The C6Z IMO was a little too 'refined' for my liking in a car like that, albeit they were much faster. I know many of you were/are vette guys so its nothing special but that car had me at 'hello' when I was 15 and saw my first Z06 back in 01' when they came out.
compliments to chadbeephotography.com, he's the one who really got me into it. This pic was taken before I was even remotely serious about the hobby.

^^ omg what a tease. Any full shots or do you not have them together yet? That is seriously nasty! They are dipped/coated correct? WHo makes a 3 piece wheel with carbon faces? 360 forged made some at one point I thought. I dont think i'd want to see the price tag though.

You need at least 19s if your going to go with a stepped lip.. Otherwise the wheels look way too small.

^ wish you hadn't sold that car already, it'd make me a very happy man!
And lm7 damn that looks good. Wish u had a little more light on the back wheels so I could see the lips better. Photographing black wheels is difficult for sure.

exactly what I was thinking. *scratches head* It was my understanding stepped lips were purely aesthetic.

Yes sir, I have the LM's and love them. Very unique IMO, every where I go people love them. If you go to Post 248 of this thread you will see my photo shoot.

The "function" of a step lip from my understanding is to strengthen it a bit so as to avoid bends over a straight lip. Obviously they still can be damaged but they hold up a bit better.
