Off Topic, but I need help. Fuel pressure question for C55 AMG.

Can anyone tell me what the idle pressure should be for a C55 AMG? I have a friend that has massive fuel problems ( car says it's too lean even though maf and 02 sensors are NEW and the car has no vacuum leaks ) and I checked the fuel pressure at idle and it was 38psi. Is this normal?

Anyone?

I can't believe how hard it has been for me to get this information. I've searched EVERYWHERE and can't find anything. Yet finding the pressure for an E55 was a piece of cake.

I would also do some more diagnostic work before just throwing a pump at it. Check for restrictions, also check to make sure your power supply is good. Check the connector at the pump for meltage.

3.8bar -4.0bar is normal so around 55-60 psi. could be numerous things.

fuel pump
voltage at fuel pump
fuel pump relay shorting
fuel presure regulator
fuel system leaking down( injector, regulator fuel filter )

Yeah, you said it was low but I wanted to know the actual spec. But I must admit you've been great with me.

Anyways, I checked voltage off the plug ( disconnected ) and it put 12v with the ignition on. Seems like it's normal to me. Is their ANYTHING else in the system that can possibly be clogged?

fuel pump
voltage at fuel pump ( seems fine )
fuel pump relay shorting ( voltage seems fine so I can't see how this is a problem )
fuel presure regulator ( part of the pump so it doesn't matter )
fuel system leaking down( injector, regulator fuel filter ) ( injectors should matter as they are post fuel rail and the filter is part of the pump so it doesn't matter ).
Thank you!

Seems like what's left is to just swap the pump as the filter and regulator are part of the pump so it'll fix any of those problems ( if they are problems ). I can't think of anything else in the fuel system that could be clogged.

The fuel pressure in my e55 was that low when only one of my pumps was working. The wires in the fuel tank got pretty corroded

I wish I knew how the pumps work on this car. I imagine that the right pump send fuel to the left pump and the left pump to the engine. Does the right pump offer any meaningful pressure though? Or is the right pump only to keep both tanks at the same level and nothing more?
