On our header flange we use special order 3/8ths or .375 thickness 321 plate steel. It's not 1/2 inch like the DC site says.

No response from MBH. Does anyone else know whether their headers can be installed on a right hand drive E55 without having to undertake any installation mods?

It would basically be a miracle if they could be used on RHD without extensive modifications. The steering shaft travels in an elliptical path while turning and requires a fair amount of clearance.

Is this with V-bands?

Could you offer a 3" mid section with X-pipe, that would delete the factory H pipe, resonator, and cats?

What is the price with a 3" mid section so that it's a pure bolt on? Catless is fine.

Thanks!

For any fence-sitters out there, take advantage of this opportunity. Whether you're looking for your first set of headers, upgrading from shorties, or even upgrading from some of the other ill-fitting or lower quality LTs, this is your chance to get the best headers offered for the 55K platform. And add the mid-pipe kit to make it a direct bolt-on. MBH was great to work with. Here's what we're talking about:

Wiow, that is a great price. SS steel prices have been going through the roof!

Yeah its crazy. Even with the prices sky rocketing of stainless steel you would think its due to a supply and demand thing. When its really not, at least from what I can see. The steel yard seems to have more stainless steel tubing in the lot than I can remember. Looks like I'll be keeping an eye on nickel prices, to see how it translates into cost of tubing.

Damn that is SOOOO tempting. You think with a stage 3 setup, I would pickup anything over my floored fab headers? I believe mine are 1 5/8 primary's with 2.5 collectors....

So you dont actually get better gas mileage. In my case, I got worse gas mileage than stock even though my dash was saying I was getting much better then stock.
This is correct, the larger the injector difference, the larger the mpg difference. My E55 is off by about 2mpg but a C55 may be off by even more because it has smaller injectors to begin with.

Komp55- that is beautiful! Have you had it on the dyno? Do you have any sound clips? How was MBH's service?

Thanks!

How do these compare to the ARH headers in terms of sound price and most importantly before and after hp and tq #s?

Take this as advice
All LT set up has been plagd with fitments issues (steering column, leaking and rubbing on under body parts

Do not go for the HP/ Trq rout because in the long run, you will want your driveability and peace of mind. Go with tried and tested
Seems there are alot of happy customers with the MBH setup, you issue is if u can get a hold of mike

Your dash readout will be incorrect with bigger injectors (fuel rails don't matter). The computer monitors the pulse width as part of the calculation for MPG. With a bigger injector, you don't need as big of a pulse width for the same rpms (and other factors) as the smaller injector so the computer thinks the motor is getting less fuel.
