Recommendations for car shipping?

Hi

Can anyone please give me some recommendations on good enclosed car shippers? I plan to ship my car from Palm Beach Florida to NYC. Any Florida based or east coast shippers that you've used? I really appreciate your help!

Thanks

Mike

Intercity gets my vote. I can say from personal experience that DAS (Dependable Auto Shippers), are not very dependable.

Drive it. Just drove mine 1300 miles from Iowa to Florida in a day and a half. Great trip!

About to do it again in the 996.

Thanks for reply. I considered driving but it's a 68 vintage. Not sure I want to risk it

DAS shipped my Porsche from Florida to California underneath another car that was leaking transmission fluid. The fluid ate away at the paint and required the entire car to be repainted, all while DAS claimed they were not liable. My insurance ended up going after them in court to recoup the cost.

Enclose. I ended up getting DAS due to the lack of better alternatives. They sounded nice and professional on the phone. I'll let you know how it goes. Also, maybe because of your incident, they now offer an option of being "on top rack" for 150 dollars extra. The reason being "to avoid possible damage due to leaked fluids.".

They had that option back when I used them as well and I selected it, still ended up on the bottom. Perhaps they have changed their ways though.

You can try posting an ad on www.uship.com with the details on the vehicle & shipping companies will place bids on the shipment & you can choose which company to go with.

horseless carraige. Based in NJ. Used them for fuly enclosed transport of my 55 from cali to NYC last year. Service was good, and cheaper by a few hundred than intercity or anywhere else I checked.

You must aware about the insured policies while shipping a car from one place to the other because its very sensitive case. And much of the companies charge so much rates.

I have used Intercity several times for a couple of show cars and regular drivers for distances of 500 miles to across country. In every instance they were outstanding. I would highly recommend them.

I would have blown that truck up after they told mt they weren't liable. I can't be liable if his blood starts leaking lol

one car at a time
Intercity is the leader in the space IMHO...Horseless Carriage is excellent as well....Just make sure you understand whether you are dealing with a broker vs. the company actually shipping the car....
