Except...that it didn't.

I did a WOT run in 1st gear and the car did a quick burn out. As soon as I got off the throttle it went into neutral and the car would not accelerate. I turned the car off and on again and everything was fine again.

Has this happened to anyone before?

Happened to me at the track twice after doing a burnout letting of gas quick and hitting brakes to stop before beams. Heard a thump and then car wouldn't go. Stomach sunk, did the same, shut car off and back on and all was good.

Yeah 2 things cause this (at least that I know of). The first being incorrect tire size (cel comes on, wheel speed error), the 2nd being low tranny fluid.

I used to have this problem when staging, bought taller drags and it went away.

Happened to me as well, except that I had put the car in neutral while decelerating off an exit ramp. Put the car back into drive while it was still rolling and it wouldnt accelerate. I stopped the car, shut it off. Started it back up and it was fine. Almost felt like a protection mechanism of some sort to protect the tranny.

and from what I figured, the only common factor was that it was shortly after a cold start but with the engine up to normal temp. I figured it mush be that the tranny fluid was not up to temp even though the engine was and I was definitely driving it hard on both occasions. The second time round it re-engaged before I had the chance to pull over and cycle the key. Next time I'll hook up star to see what if an event is stored but that ish is scary as 4k

Happened to me the other day, was in M mode and all of a sudden it was like the car was in neutral, I put it in neutral and back into drive and still nothing. I had to re start the car then it was fine. Hasn't happened again.

So speaking of, this past weekend I was out practicing launches, having some fun getting tires hot etc.....when same thing happens. Even check engine light came on. This was dyno mode. Cycle key all ok. Checked faults today had a code for slipping or impermissible trans ratio. I think this is just due to the heavy wheel spin, at least in my case ,sometimes only one wheel was going.

When I was trying taller drag setup I got the car to go into a limp mode but I wasnt beating on it doing a burn out.

The car would not engage the blower and I scaned the ecu and wrong gear ratio code was throw so you might of freaked the car out and it just threw it self into N from spinning the rear tires so fast and the stupid T/C freaking out.
