So i had a "Parking and Standing lamps" bulb go out which in the manual it calls out a W 5W bulb. I went to the store and found a set of bulbs that were labled something like "2895 replaces W 5W bulbs" and they work just fine. The problem is that my normal driving low beam lights are a crisp white color (almost a light bluish tint but mainly white) and the W 5W bulbs are that nasy off white or yellowish color. Does anyone know of a bulb that i can put in there that will match up with my low beam light that are a crisp bright white?

well when my bulb burnt out, the car didnt tell me. so i think the person that had it before me must have disabled that function in the car and ultimately i want to get that working again. i suspect that they deactivated it because the LED bulbs were throwing up some error codes.
So i would like some bright crisp white bulbs (so higher lumen rating) and then turn that function back on if this is possible.

 

Yup, multi SMD 194 wedge based fitment LED. Make sure they're CANBUS, and you're GTG.

The only way to disable/re-enable the bulb out is either through hard wiring or through STAR system reprogram.

Dealerships will have a STAR system computer on hand, but they might not be willing to do it. Some Mercedes specific aftermarket motorsports shops will have them as well. If you were in socal, I could recommend places to get it done, but have no idea in your region.
