Just picked up my e55!
Hey guys... just wanted to post a quick intro thread. I have been lurking the last couple months to gather info and just pulled the trigger on an 04 E55. I live in Chicago and found the car in Minneapolis. Not my typical style, but took a flight out there with a buddy of mine to do PPI and drive it home for the 7 hr trek.

Car is really clean, but once I got it home I did a light polish and cleaned up the interior.

Here is a pic I took tonight with my buddy who came along with me when i bought the car. He has a pretty awesome e46 m3 w a ESS 550 kit.

I also am coming from a e46 m3 as well which i still own.

Looking forward to learning more about the e55 and to let the modding begin!

Like that shot with moving train. Good spot for city view. I go past that parking lot every day on metra. And that banner of AI in the second shot is the school I went to.

Thanks guys. First mod will probably be to lower it a bit and maybe look into more open wheels to show off the brakes.

What do you guys recommend for lowering? STAR, Links, Washers? Was thinking of starting with STAR and see if thats enough.
