Shardul's manifold headers ROCK!

Hey guys like the title said , I was lucky enough to pick these up from infinity on MBWorld for 350$ and what a great investment! This is the link:

Shardul was helpful answering questions as well even though the sale was already done through infinity ...

I have 180 pulley, PLM HE, upgraded Bosch pump, PTE thermostat, Jeremy OE Tune

Well here are the results..all on the same dyno and same conditions except humidity was higher on post install, no retune just these babies added.


Pre shardul headers : 445hp/552tq. 85.29f, 29.92 in-Hg, humidity: 38%, SAE: 1.00

Post shardul headers: 464.2hp/574.03. 84.07f, 29.75 in-Hg, humidity : 56%, SAE: 1.01

Now the dyno operator said that on the chart I had 30hp/30tq gains over the entire power band until redline...

Now guys I am having the fuel system with looped fuel rail and 550 injectors go in hopefully this week and get a retune from Jeremy, I'm sure it will go even higher!

Need to get my ported tb and fuel system in and retune

Damn...I don't have it but it did go lean at one point and then dumped a lot of fuel at the end so fuel system is coming just in time

Ah Hulk, if it dumped fuel at the end aka high rpm, it still had plenty of capacity. Just a thought.

PS: I DO subsribe to the larger fuel injector and rail mod crowd

Yup it went down close to 9 or 10... So a tune is in order with the new fuel rail and injectors

Rage-tek, good guys there, but their dyno gives lower numbers than the mustang lol..be forewarned, theirs is the real heartbreaker lol

Instead of starting a new thread I'll ask my question here.

In order for long tube headers to be useful do you need to change or delete anything along the exhaust like cat delete or race cat or resonator delete etc. Are those mods for sound and if you install long tubes (and tune for them) but NOT delete anything or change mufflers, will you still get gains?

Yes u still gain without deleting because you are getting rid of the restrictive manifold, but long tubes will gain the most and usually cats are all gone unless it's custom and get high flow cats
