Try the new Sugarland dealership, that's where I'm on the list for their first 2004 E55. I could have gotten an 03 with no wait, but wanted the nav, yes, I'm a ***.

tell these greedy ***** dealers to stick it. there is not a car made that warrants paying more than the manufacturer is asking. the new E55 is a great car ...but don't let your excitement about it make you grab you ankles and beg for more!
I recently ordered an 2004 E55 (2 weeks ago) with my option list for delivery around Jan 04 (my preference). This was ordered via MB Laguna Niguel by my salesman who defected from House of Imports, Buena Park. This is a very busy AMG dealer and I was still promised MSRP. I do not understand why customers think they have to wait 18 mo. or pay over MSRP for their 55. They just need to find the right dealership and salesman!!
I'm hoping Sugarland will be different. They open on July 15.
So you see, in Houston at least, its hard to find a good dealer.
The local dealer sold a "used" E55 (100 miles) last week for $18K over MSRP. They bought it from a broker for $6K over, and tacked another $12K on top of that. It only lasted around 2 days on the showroom floor.
I remember when my dad was getting his 2001 CL600, the Mark-up was RIDICULOUS. We went to Fletcher Jones, and they had a CL600 with about 50-100 miles on it, and they were charging $180-190k. Such a joke! And MB of Laguna Niguel was the same. Both absolutely ridiculous. So we went to House of Imports, where my dad is friends with one of the salesmen, and we still had to pay $20k over the price, but that wasn't bad considering that we had to pay about $130-140 total for a brand new one with every damn option available, whereas the other ones with no sport package were going for $190 with 100 miles on them. So insane...dealerships will rip your ***** off if you don't know what you're doing...its horrible.
my friends dad has a cl600 bought it in ct for msrp...only car worth paying over sticker has a prancing horse on it, but thats just me
that ai't $14000 over invoice. That's about $20,000 over invoice (considering that the car has about $7k in it at MSRP pre-holdback). Just so we get our terms right.....
