Finally got mine installed for a few weeks and 400 miles. Instant engagement and no more grinding sound when stomping the gas pedal like before. Had bearings that were on their way out.

Were the shims taped to it or something? I got the pulley wrapped in like sheet foam and tape wound around it a few times. That was tossed in the box with the heat exchanger. It all got here safely and was packaged well enough, just didn't find any shims/washers anywhere? Are they something that I can source locally or are they somewhat special in some way?

Have you measured it again after you drove it for a while? Some people have reported that the clearance has decreased after being driven and needed to be re-shimmed.
