1990 300ce supercharged and intercooled
I have been thinking about this today. I think the best way to get an idea of whether it is near fixed or an actual percentage is that if you had 100hp being soaked up by the drivetrain then a 100hp engine would barely if at all move that same car. No since we all know that not to be true then we can assume that it is a percentage of some kind. There are a lot of different Mercedes models that use the same transmission and the same differential or very close. And virtually identical other parts, ie axles and driveshaft bearings. So if a C230 kompressor only makes 180hp. Then it should take a pretty big chunk of that to run the driveline. But some how miraculously they have near the same loss percentage as a E55.

Not to belabour the issue but this relationship is not linear IMHO.
I think drivetrain loss increases at a slower rate as HP increases. The baseline drag/inertia losses do not change as HP does but frictional losses do....

Hey guys I plan to make a twin turbo conversion kit for the 55 motor in the near future. It will come out one of these days, some time between then and now, soon hopefully one day but I can take down payments now if enough are interested. Follow me as I post purdy pics of manifolds on my thread

It is official with today's dyno we are confident in revealing the kit. The hardware kits will now be available for purchase to the public. Please give us a call for more info.
Even tho it was very hot and humid we managed to put down some impressive numbers! We Will still be playing with it some more
17 psi pulley
Numbers
Another one coming out off the oven soon
The prices will vary depending on what you have or want in regards of fuel injectors, tb, intake and so on. This kit is designed to match the performance modifications one has.No point on buying a kit with stuff you have. More information and complete kit pictures and descriptions are coming soon.
