Are W211 E55's one wheel wonders?
I've only done 2 small burnouts in my E55, and each time only one wheel spins. Is that normal for a stock E55 or do I need to fix it?

They have an open diff for some crazy reason. I never had a problem spinning both until being at the track on drag radials. Put a Quaife in and you will be happy.

Ok thanks, I'll check it out. Any advantage to going with a Quaife over a Kleeman diff?

Try backing up straight with some load so that it will load of the diff in reverse since this helps keep both wheels active. Then put her in drive and witness two patches being laid down as long as you can drive her straight...

I'm not familiar with the specifics of the kleeman diff but the quaife offers a lifetime warranty

I did more searching around on here and found that one huge benefit of the Quaife is that it's a direct swap out. Where as the Kleeman, from what I've read, is not.
