Need a shorter belt for the smaller supercharger pulley

I need a shorter belt for the smaller supercharger pulley, does anyone know what the proper size is? The stock belt is way too long...

Either something is up with the belt I bought, or the K080496HD does not fit. In using the smaller pulley, and the belt simply won't fit. It gets close to fitting with the tensioner fully opened, but it won't make it.

Hi

Is a shorter superhcarger belt definetly required when using a smaller supercharger pulley?

This place is a joke.
I run the smaller SC pulley with the stock MB belt, not sure why you are having a problem.

Smaller belt is not required, as tensioner will pick up the slack. Some have said a slightly smaller belt has better grip (presumably because of more tension from the tensioner), but that might be pure speculation.

Now to order a belt of the correct size :-(

I run the smaller pulley with the stock belt as well. Double check to make sure you have a stock belt size and make sure there are no other problems that may be causing the belt to not fit.

I have a K080505HD which is the gates heavy duty listed as 51" Going by part numbers it should be a touch longer (just under an inch?) then the part number you listed.

Isn't the stock belt 51.4 or something a lil over 51?

Hi

I am using a smaller supercharger pulley made by Shardul. Which belt is best to use as I need to replace mine?

Should I get a green heav duty version or just goto my local Mercedes dealer and buy a standard belt from them?

Regards,

OZZYAMG

FYI if you are using Shardul's belt wrap kit you need a belt 4" longer than the belt you are presently running

Hi

I don't have a belt wrap kit. I am using a smaller supercharger pulley manufactured by Shardul.

Ozzy, it was a general point of reference, it wasn't referring to you or your post's, there are people in this thread getting ready to install the belt wrap kit and this is info they need

I wanna edit this but its too late so I'm quoting to update this belt is a touch SHORTER but slips on easily and runs great. I was even able to get it on the stock pulley. It is .4 or .6" shorter if I remember correctly. Matches the smaller supercharger pulley very well.
